Owns a cool mat. Sits beside it.

Had the same issue with the beagles, what eventually worked was when they were lying on the floor to cool down, I lay the cool mat over them and they seemed to gradually understand that it was cooler, and now lie on it with no issue.

Aye the wee man has cottoned on to its usefulness.

"OK, Dad, if she's staying I suppose I'll look after her. Just don't expect me to be happy about it. Any sign of my walk or treat levels dripping, and you'll know about it."

(sotto voce) "you all right down there, Missy? I think we're going to get on alright. Right bloody soft touches, these."20210727_170546.jpeg

Wait till she starts chewing his face off and he doesn’t get a minutes peace.

The sofa is his refuge at the moment but that won’t last long.

Oh, he's already establishing boundaries, don't you worry. I think (hope) they'll be fine.

That's one bonny dog. No way would I get Casper to pose like that - sand and salt water send him into overdrive!

Haha - oh, she's activated by the beach and the sea and heads straight in and bounces about barking.  There's usually a window for posing once she's tired herself out though!

Yeah, Casper reckons he's half dolphin as well. No way is he presentable when he's tired out, mind. I hope Missy doesn't get in as much of a state once we introduce her to Fraisthorpe Beach! (East Yorkshire's best beach for furry lunatics)

We have this tree in my neighbours garden. Produces these. Dog keeps eating / trying to eat them.

How do I stop him and are they dangerous for him ?

Do you know what kind of tree it is? Heard that blueberries are fine for dogs but grapes can kill them, so you better find out.
