The urge to get a dog is becoming increasingly difficult. Thinking about getting a dog several times a day. This thread doesn’t help with it either.

Unfortunately just don’t think it’s fair getting a dog in a small flat with no garden, so will have to continue on in great sadness at not having a pal.

Is an oldie an option/appeal?

We adopted my first dog from the dogs trust when I lived in a flat with no attached garden. She was 12yo when we adopted her and sadly we only had her for two years but she was a brilliant dog, came fully trained and was very laid back. We lived across the road from a park so we just took her across the road for a wee potter around in the mornings and evenings and she got her big walk (2 miles) in the evening.

COVID has robbed Renton of his beloved girl that would take him out for walks etc (she's not dead, just couldn't get back to Edinburgh). If you want to borrow him any time you'd be welcome. A hound-type in a flat is fine as they are so lazy.
