I know there’s a huge proportion that are almost evangelical about the benefits of crates - and each to their own - but I just don’t think it’s fair. You’ve acquired a social animal to integrate into your family but you put them in a cage? I used to be of the same opinion but since Jack appeared I have to say, I've changed my views. He's horrifically nosey, he can be sound asleep and I change the channel and he's up and about because there was a noise. I tried for a while with him at night out and about but he just wasn't getting enough sleep - and in turn, wouldn't want to go out for walks. He's far better in the cage. Tried one night to leave him out with a camera to keep an eye on him, but he was trying to get into everything he could instead of just sleeping. He doesnt seem to mind it all tbh, he goes in there himself for wee snoozes almost every night after his walk and seems to enjoy it as being his own wee space.
