Reynard isn't legally qualified. Much like chicBurma.

Ad Lib and I are. Which is why we are right (much as it pains you) on these matters and idiots like chicBurma get their arses served to them on a platter every time they purport to know things.

Ah yes, I remember that, you're both much more qualified than "some nobody from northwestern", as he knew nothing about international law. That would be US ambassador to the UN, specialised in international law, and head of a massive centre for international law. You'll excuse us if we laugh heartily at your "I know everything and am never wrong" statements.

Edited to add, and of course, when Reynard did mention it, and not just once, neither you or any of the law squad felt any impulse to "keep him honest". Not once...

Helen getting himself all upset again. Personally i doubt very much either of you are legally qualified. Inability to understand basic concepts pretty much sums up what most people see from you. And you tie yourself in knots constantly. Then when exposed and all else fails you become personally abusive. Edited by Burma

Yep Helen and his hero Ad_lib of hostage taking and thread wrecking meltdown fame both on the independence thread dismissed numerous legal experts and opinions. They were handed their arses on more than one occasion. At which point they would cite a spelling error and then claim they understood the law better than those who actually practise and write about it.

Honestly would people stop replying to H_B, he does absolutely naff all but 'duck, dive and deflect' as XBL has said, honestly just goes on about the biggest lot of shite ever that isnt even really that relevant in an independence forum. Seriously, think the boy is probably voting YES but only on here spouting his nonsense to get some attention from people. Poor lad!

After reading some of Helen's dribbling drivel I too believed he was a pro-independence plant. But then he went into a vicious name calling tear stained rant and it just seemed a bit TOO desperate to be fake.

Still he does expose the most arrogant and ignorant parts of the Bitter Together campaign

I have enjoyed your swift responses to them (Reynard, Ad-Lib and H-B, the latter two aka masters of Law) that show them up to be havering complete pish. Keep up the good work son.

I think it is pretty standard for Scottish cricket fans to refer to England as 'us'. I certainly do. They are essentially the test side for the British Isles. They may only technically be England and Wales, however we haven't got a test side but people from the other part of our country do so it makes sense to support them. I only know two Scottish cricket fans, other than myself, and they refer to England as 'us'.

All three of us are firm 'no' voters though, so take that as you will.

Andrew Neil defended himself on twitter during the Ashes series in England during the summer after he referred to England as 'us'. He said he's lived in England for years and Scotland don't have a test side so he follows England.

It's pretty normal for cricket fans. Scotland haven't got a team that play test cricket so who else would we support?

I'm afraid I have to agree with you here. Have 2 mates that are ardent cricket fans and they fully support england at cricket. Both fully support Scotland when it comes to football though.

Me? although I played cricket at school I can't say I am a fan but I am a fully fledged member of the ABE for any sport

I think HB watches this video everyday before preparing to enter the independence discussion:

I know some cricket guys, the trend seems to be that they obviously love watching test cricket but don't support England and couldn't really care less about them. More concerned about Scotland and trying to beat Afghanistan or the UAE or what have you.

Let's be glory hunters. Support the team who are likely to win. AKA Australia.

Anyway England should probably rename themselves the League of Nations, the amount of different nationalities that have represented them over the years

It always amazes me that the English media and the Westminster government always bang on about immigration. Even tonight its the biggest item on non-regional news. This rhetoric is quickly forgotten when one of these vilified immigrants turns out to be a world class athlete.

To be fair I think that the media's main issue isn't with immigrants per se but with unproductive immigrants who have chosen this country in order to leech from society. No one has any problem with immigrants that are happy to work and make something of themselves. Except maybe Ethnic nationalists

such as the English Independence Party, who bizarrely don't actually support English independence, what they do support it "An end to immigration - except in very special cases, including the return to England of people of English heritage and descent. The removal from England of those who have no legal right to be here – including those involved in shame marriages."

Why the hell would they want to force English people who have left to come back? O.o

I think there is a lot of resent towards any immigrants from certain people. Publications like the daily mail peddle the nonsense and the racists lap it up. Poles especially get a hard time, despite being bloody hard workers, (in my experience anyway)

Again in my experience, the ones who shout the loudest about immigrants 'stealing' jobs are the type of people who are never likely to work if they can get away with it.

What they also don't take into account are the many millions of UK citizens spread around the globe stealing jobs etc, etc

If this is a wind up on Burma, I may let you off with that, but being qualified is a bit of a strong word that implies you are an expert on the subject, as well as a 'forces the smell of one's own farts on others because it's so good' complex. I certainly wouldn't refer to a newly qualified Doctor in medicine as an 'expert.' :P

Most of the folk I know who enjoy cricket will "support" England but not totally root for them if you know what I mean? If you want to watch test cricket in the UK then you're going to be going to England test matches held in England by and large as its fairly easy to go to the likes of Durham, Old Trafford, Leeds, Nottingham etc. The majority of these folk will also play the sport at club level or have played it as kids and just like the sport. I 've been to watch Scotland a few times but it tends to be one day stuff which if you genuinely appreciate the game isn't really the same as watching the test playing nations, its a notch down from that. Still quite good fun though.

I like cricket, and I quite like it when England do OK, but I don't actually support them. I am just as happy watching Tendulkar, or Shane Warne or Viv Richards or whoever the top players currently are doing their thing. Most Scottish cricket fans are the same. They just enjoy the sport for what it is.

Dear me, your sig is clutching at straws in a big way Reynard.

What the data tells us is that the Gini coefficient for the UK for income, after transfers and taxes are applied, is calculated at 0.345. By comparison, Denmark is 0.240, Sweden 0.250, Norway 0.258, Germany 0.283 and France 0.327. Across the world, this puts the UK rank in terms of inequality at 43 out of 156 countries, well within the top third of the most equal societies.

40th Croatia

41st Azerbaijan

42nd Indonesia

43rd UK

44th Poland

45th Greece

46th Ireland

47th Togo

48th Albania

49th Niger

50th Spain

51st Sudan

52nd Algeria

It's reads like a who's who of the poor or over leveraged.

I should have put more effort in because this Murdo Fraser is a bit of a thick head and he's doing just fine.

Drivel. It puts to bed the lie that the UK is the 4th most unequal society in the world as we are told by the ethno nats.

It also puts us above the countries held up as shining examples to us all by the nat clown collective. Just shows you how you can find whatever you want from stuff doesn't it? <_<

BTW I notice that the white paper was 18% out with its estimates of the costs to set up the tax collecting system in Scotland. Have they mentioned this yet over on wangs or newsnut? Didn't think so..
