DeeTillEhDeh
That looks like an outlier compared to other polls - except Savanta. If you look at historical polling - even when Yes were well ahead - both polling organisations showed No leading. Shovels of salt etc etc.

The idea that a bloke in Eyemouth (not Ayemouth) should have to cross an international border and pay in a different currency to go for his messages in Berwick is as unhinged in 2023 as it was in 2104. This isn't the first time you've used that poor wee guy from Eyemouth patter. Being from the Borders I used to fish in the Eye estuary all the time. I'm not sure why you think people there just have to get their messages in Berwick. There are plenty shops in Eyemouth but if you really have to go into a different country for a pot noodle then that's on you.

D Angelo Barksdale
Both Northern Ireland and Gibraltar manage just fine, so a border is hardly the end of days scenario being implied here.

I always read his posts in a Morningside tone with an occasional Lanarkshire twang when he uses Scots words.

That's pretty spot-on.

D Angelo Barksdale
Post independence Berwick will be part of the DMZ anyway, so that old boy from Eyemouth will have to dodge all the landmines on his way to the big Tescos'.
Dan Steele
Imagine the customs delays, border checks and form filling that'll have to be done, not to mention currency exchange stuff, if the Eyemouth guy uses Berwick store delivery places. Poor bugger'll starve waiting for his nosh.

How many Jimmy Bunnets cut with Glengarries do you have to mainline to think that's a good idea? 1 minute ago, DeeTillEhDeh said: As would Buckinghamshire - thank f**k. South Bucks - for all its faults - is the apotheosis of reasonableness and all that is good in modern Britain: -Some of the best state schools in the country -A whole-county sense of belonging -A great sports culture encompassing rugby, football, netball and cricket -A strong sense of multiculturalism Largely free of the neds, boors and Shinners who are blighting Scotland. -
