DeeTillEhDeh
I might be wrong as I only caught the end of the report on 5 live but it sounded as though they were trying to argue that the financial markets were getting jittery due to Scotland being unable to support itself financially following a yes vote. Needless to say I was screaming at the radio! Given the experience of currency union between the Czech Republic and Slovakia it's no wonder they are jittery. hedgie90
WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOUR VIEW ON THIS IS,JUST CAME ACROSS IT ONLINE. PARTS of the North-East should be allowed to join an independent Scotland, a campaigner has claimed. Andrew Gray, a member of the Green Party, believes the borders of Scotland should be redrawn to include areas of Northumberland, Newcastle and North Tyneside - if the yes campaign is successful at next week's referendum. So far, 249 people have signed Mr Gray's e-petition to a request a new North-East referendum should Scotland vote for independence. Mr Gray said: "Many people in the North-East feel distant from our government in Westminster, both economically and politically. "The Scottish Parliament has proved that different ways of running public services are possible, including an NHS without the internal market, higher education without tuition fees, and (if there's a Yes vote in the Independence Referendum) defence without the threat of Trident." He added: "We therefore call on the UK Government to grant a referendum to all who live north of Hadrian's Wall, or in Newcastle and North Tyneside council areas. "We would choose whether to remain in England or to join Scotland. We call on the Government to arrange and fund this referendum, and to be bound by the result." Mr Gray said if people chose to join Scotland, the new border would follow the line of Hadrian's Wall west of Newcastle, where it would go south to the River Tyne, then east to the coast. speckled tangerine
Ooo, the much anticipated timetable for new powers if we vote No. October 2014: A command paper published by the present government setting out all the proposals for change November 2014: Following a period of discussion and consultation with civic society the heads of agreement in the form of white paper or equivalent document January 2015: Draft clauses for legislation as the new Scotland Bill That's just noise. Or, September 19th 2014 after a no vote: In the bin. You fell for it suckers.

Casual Bystander
Previously: He knows how to talk about change. But the trouble is he can't deliver change. Now: the Prime Minister v much welcomes Gordon Brown's announcement today. Funny that.

There is absolutely 0% chance of this happening. Although, if it did, think of some of the brilliant new Scots. E.g. Gazza, Cheryl Cole, Alan Shearer and Ant & Dec. speckled tangerine
The north if England would need a vote on that, and I've got no doubt they'll reject it outright Even if the northerners voted yes, can we have an enclave of England around that tedious Berwick Rangers fan's house, just to piss him off with the border guards we're getting and all? You got there before I did. Certainly was shock therapy for the Slovak economy - it's financial sector has recovered and is now growing from strength to strength - but it's not exactly the ideal way to get a stronger financial sector.
