~~~ Posted November 27, 2013 Share Posted November 27, 2013 It was only last week a political reporter from NI was on Scotland Tonight saying the Unionist parties in NI are against Scottish Independence, not because they think it's better for us to stay within the union It's so they can show face to the republicans Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ivo den Bieman Posted November 27, 2013 Share Posted November 27, 2013 Yes, it hasn't been forgotten that Martin McGuinness stated, not long after the GFA was signed, that "the SNP are the model" for the future development of Sinn Fein electorally. If I remember correctly, this was on a Radio 5 programme also featuring Salmond, and he was at pains to say that the SNP had always been democratic and peaceful in trying to achieve their aims, unlike SF. A few years later SF made enquiries about joining the Green-EFA group in the European parliament, and were hastily rebuffed- the damage in the even of that going through would have been immense both for the SNP and Plaid. These facts notwithstanding, being mentioned with admiration by Martin McGuinness was enough to get the BUNFIELD vote hot under the collar when it comes to the SNP. Even with Uncle Martin being all statesmanlike and "stepping up to the plate" shaking the Queen's hand, and happily participating in the running of a partitionist administration, etc Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Reynard Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 It must be quite devastating for the nat clown collective to be happy clapping for such an obviously incompetant political party which is in the process of making sure there is no chance whatsoever of independence happening this time around. The white paper launch has been a total disaster with no informnation other than we will be welcoming nuclear weapons into Scottish ports. And nothing is costed. Its an utter wishlist that has unravelled already. Its a shame that such a shower of amateurs seem to be shattering the dreams of so many of our young shavers like this. Never mind, maybe net time? invergowrie arab Posted November 28, 2013 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Heres a fun game to play with the family on Xmas day. Name all the countries that have become independent in the last 20 years that have become independent and then joined the eu. Then another team has to name all the countries that became independent in the last 20 years and had their membership vetoed. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
No because what they were breaking away from wasn't an EU member. This is an unprecedented case so Spain can kinda do what they like Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
