H_B
It's following much the same trend as the Rangers Admin thread - lots of back-patting and very little informed debate (and I'm a staunch yes BTW) It's awful, and has been for at least a year now. There's no self-policing of the Yes campaign and the SNP, which allows absolute drivel to be passed off as golden nuggets.
Baxter Parp
And everything coming out the mouths of the YES campaigners is true then? Just shows how blinkered and deluded you are mate More pish since never said that.

onovvii
Hmm, I can't decide if you're a troll or just a silly cunt. I'm leaning towards the former without ruling out that you may, in fact, be both. I'm happy to explain why your post is nonsense, in the event that you wish to cry ad hominen, but hopefully that won't be necessary. Picking apart such waffle can be so tiresome. What part is waffle? 2% minium GDP for new NATO members ? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jun/23/us-nato-members-increase-defence-spending http://online.wsj.com/articles/nato-leaders-to-vow-to-lift-military-spending-1409832341 Estonian security officer abducted in Estonia? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/05/estonian-security-officer-abducted-border-russia http://www.vox.com/2014/9/5/6110037/estonia-russia-officer-kidnapped or the fact Salmond is being quiet about the fact Scotland must keep the same level of defence to join NATO? Tell me what part was waffle?
Baxter Parp
Yes you would. all new countires must take the euro. Wrong. They must commit to using the Euro at some unspecified point in the future. We've been debating this stuff here for bloody years, chum, we've been over this time and again. Tell me what part was waffle? The bit where you don't realise that there are a few NATO members that don't keep to that level of spending already and the Estonian officer has no connection whatsoever with the referendum, Scotland, Salmond or Trident. f**k off, chum. You're a waste of space.

Unleash The Nade
More pish since never said that. Cant understand why you're so aggressive and confrontational. I'm noticing more and more this is the attitude of a growing number of YES campaigners which is actually quite worrying. You're a waste of space. Those NATO memebrs are already memebrs, learn to read "all ("NEW") members" will be required to spend 2% GDP. Wonderfull tolerant person. You clearly wear the Anti Nazi badge well. The Estonian example is perfectly relevent, because I don't want a country on my Island that won't pull it's weight in defending these Islands from an aggressor and an aggressor is coming, very soon. SodjesSixteenIncher
The really hardcore Scottish cringers must be in total agony right now. Not about the potential for a Yes vote - that might not happen - just the uppity Jocks making front page news across the UK. Must be painful. What will the English make of this. Casual Bystander
The most annoying thing about the main stream media getting involved is the huge imbalance of the debate at present. The news seem to take each separate leader of the pro-union parties, then the "leader" of the Bitters and finally Brown as independent voices on the subject, thus in some pieces you have 4 or 5 pro union points put forward with one rebuttal from the independent debate. Hardly even or fair.

strichener
David Cameron Won't Debate Scottish Independence Because 'I Don't Get A Vote' The issue is a matter for "Scots living in Scotland" and should not become a glorified general election, David Cameron wrote in a letter to Alex Salmond. This is not a battle between England and Scotland, it is a debate on the future of our country. David Cameron does not have a vote in this referendum. Jambomo
Cant understand why you're so aggressive and confrontational. I'm noticing more and more this is the attitude of a growing number of YES campaigners which is actually quite worrying. The nippy sweetie brigade seem to be coming out from under their stones all of a sudden Ha ha ha I love it. You begin by saying 'Just shows how blinkered and deluded you are mate' all he says that it's pish - he didn't say that which is much less personally insulting than what you said and now he's the one being aggressive and confrontational? Both sides of the debate have people who come out with abusive stuff and whilst it's not right there have been many instances of countries separating where the two sides were doing things much more violent than name calling and swear words. We are lucky that this is actually a pretty civilised campaign by some standards. So I wish people would stop this exaggerated 'bullying and victimisation' complex that I noticed is starting up because it's not doing either side any favours. renton
For the sake of balance, it's worth noting that Credit Suisse is predicting a deep and disasterous recession with a 5-10% fall in wages and stepe unemployment coupled with a flight of capital out of scottish banks (there's that old 12x GDP figure again), re-domiciling of those banks down south,a legal wrangle over north sea oil and a failing notional Scottish currency.
