Spain have came out today and said they won't veto Scotland entry into the EU if the UK legally recognises Scottish independence

Another unionists myth busted

Doesn't say anything about what terms they would agree to/veto though. Which for anyone doing anything other than strawmanning is the actual issue.

And that Danny Alexander paper said that we can't afford childcare. Remember when lib dem Ad Lib had a tantrum and demanded it was implemented now because we had the money for it already?

Apparently we don't.

Danny Alexander has not stated that Holyrood cannot implement phase 1 of the SNP's childcare policy with the revenue coming to it from the Barnett formula. You've just made that up.

What an absolute fucking embarrassment you are. Why do you do this? Every bloody time the No side get torn a new one you have to leap in and try and limit the damage as best as you can. Who gives a shit about the terms? They aren't going to be bad, or else we wouldn't bother with the EU. This idea that we won't hold any of the cards in any negotiations with the UK government and bodies such as the EU and NATO is absolute rubbish. We would be a valued member of these groups. Maybe we'll want certain conditions attached to our membership as well, and they'll have to give way on these. The way unionists go on you'd think that there wouldn't actually be any proper negotiations, just a group telling us these are our terms, and if we don't like them then tough shit. That isn't how it works.

Now instead of telling us what a terrifying process independence is going to be, get out there and win some votes. After all, you are a Yes voter.

They'd already said this before. They are desperately trying to pretend the Scottish Independence movement is different from the Catalan one.

Which it only is because the UK are behaving like adults and the Spanish disgracefully.

Why arent the BBC reporting ANY of this? They made it headline news when they misinterpreted the Spanish PM's earlier quotes that Scottish membership of the EU would be "vetoed".

Its almost as if they are biased.

Well said. I have not once seen Ad Lib say a single positive thing about independence. For an alleged Yes voter this just seems a little too unlikely.

"One of the big problems that we have at the moment, which I don't think the report sufficiently addresses, is that London is becoming a kind of giant suction machine, draining the life out of the rest of the country"

What a quote that is from a member of the Government:

Christmas come early. Perhaps the Lib Dems have a use after all

Not just a member of the Government, the only voice in this Government that warned us all about the banking collapse.

So a member of the government who knows what he is talking about. Gets better all of the time.

IIRC Was Vince Cable not the main reason why the Lib Dems had their spike in popularity pre the 2010 election
