scottsdad Posted December 9, 2022 Share Posted December 9, 2022 That last image reminds me of a time (2003?) when I went to a day-long conference at the leather technology centre in Northampton. There was a session on conserving and restoring old items made from animal skins. I was there with another researcher (also from Falkirk) and a woman stood up to give a talk about her work on muffs. For 20 minutes she went on about things like "muff treatment", "carefully putting the muff back together", "gently rubbing the muff with a cotton bud dipped in isopropanol" and so on. We were sat trying our very hardest not to burst out laughing.
