Ira Gaines
Ah, music snobbery. Might have known that's what your bitching boiled down to.
Fife Saint
I despise most mainstream music and haven't listened to radio 1 in years but I find Rudimental strangely alluring.

LinkinFighter
"playing CDs" PML. It's quite funny that they truly believe that is what he was doing last night.
lanky_ffc
The best part is, you'd struggle to find a DJ at that level who still uses CDs
DAFC
Like to see them mix using vinyl and a two channel mixer with no effects. Dj bombscare. Software beatmatches it for you now. Producing wise yes, Harris has talent but as for last night being a performance of any kind...... All fur coat etc.
Ira Gaines
It was a show though. Which is essentially what people wanted from his set last night. And you find me one single dance act that doesn't use a fairly hefty laser and light show on their headline shows.
Adrian Madaschi
Calvin Harris causing all the seethe, a multi-millionaire, who's pals with all the celebrities, and all he does is play CD's, fantastic.

Armand 2
I had never been to a festival before this weekend as I didn't really think it was my kind of thing but I loved it and am now cursing myself not trying it before now. Friday was a bit of a write-off for most of us but managed to see Alesso and Steve Angello although I'd seen them before. Would have quite liked to have seen Chvrches but got the set times mixed up. I thought there was a massive Scottish giant walking about when I was coming back from the Radio 1 stage but it turned out that it was just Biffy Clyro on the big screen. On Saturday, I managed to see The 1975 and Ben Howard who were the only two that I really wanted to see. The lead singer from The 1975 is a cool guy - smoking a fag, swigging a beer while playing the guitar then crowd surfing - but strikes me as having the propensity to go down a similar route as Pete Doherty. Of course, I hope he doesn't because I think he (and the rest of the band) are excellent and hoping to see them at the Barrowlands in September. Left Calvin Harris after 20 minutes because I didn't want to miss Ben Howard which was a great decision as not only was the music better, it meant I never got soaked outside. Will Smith introducing him was bizarre to say the least. Also watched Nutini and didn't particularly think much of him; he looked and sounded like he'd maybe smoked a bit too much beforehand as the majority of his tunes were pretty downbeat although the Chvrches cover was really good. Spent yesterday afternoon in the Slam Tent but they decided to juggle about the schedule which meant Sven Vath was on at the same time as Above & Beyond which wasn't ideal. The latter was our preference and they were brilliant - Sun and Moon is a great tune. Rounded things off by seeing Example in the King Tuts Tent who put on a great show which was a fitting farewell to Balado. All in all, a top weekend, never witnessed one bit of trouble and seriously thinking about going again next year.
Fratelli
Biffy were absolutely incredible, the best band I've seen live. I'd agree that they aren't really a TV band, the energy and half-screaming doesn't come across well unless you're there. Also, from where i was (a metre or so from the front) it looked as if Simon Neil thought it was a regular saltire, he planned to hold it up the the crowd, then when he noticed the slogan, put it on his shoulders to refrain from making any kind of political statement, he's just not that type of artist, and they aren't that type of band to make statements like that (so it seems anyway). sonsism
My first time at T, had a belter of a time. Started off the Friday with Charli XCX who was decent enough, then You Me At Six who were good although their setlist was a little disappointing for me as the latest album is a piece of shit compared to their first three records. Headed to the T-Break stage to watch 'Lonely, The Brave' and was very impressed - reminiscent of some older Funeral For a Friend stuff. 'Imagine Dragons' next who were really good - loved the cover of 500 miles. Went to see Chvrches (1/3) on the King Tuts and they were even better than they are on record. Finished the day off at the main stage watching Ed Sheeran and Biffy and both were awesome. Not entirely sure Simon Neil realised it was a 'Yes' flag, but it doesn't bother me either way. On Saturday I took in Twenty One Pilots, Twin Atlantic, James, John Newman, Rudimental, Nina Nesbitt, The 1975, Paolo Nutini and Ben Howard. TWP were class, put on a great show as well as having some really fun songs. They seem to have the style/substance balance perfect. Good to see Twin doing well on the main stage, only going to get bigger! Really enjoyed Paolo and Ben Howard was sublime. I think that Tuts was the perfect place for him to perform, such a great atmosphere. Briefly weighing in on EDM: I like listening to it on occasion, but I had no interest in seeing Calvin Harris after having heard nothing but EDM from other campers with speakers, most shops and pretty much anywhere on the Sunset Strip. There's only so much of it you can take before your mind starts to rot. It's clear that the majority of T-goers enjoy that genre though, so that's why it's heavily featured. On Sunday I completed what I'm going to call 'The Chvrches Trilogy', seeing them on the BBC Introducing Stage and also filling in for London Grammar on the Radio 1 stage. Overall I enjoyed all three sets incredibly and it was nice to see the band performing in different types of environment. Also saw Kodaline, Kaiser Chiefs, Paul Weller, Call To Mind, Jake Bugg and Arctic Monkeys. AM were a great way to end the weekend - I really didn't think I'd enjoy them as much as I did. Kaiser Chiefs were really really good too, didn't know they were still going as strong as they are! Love a bit of Jakey B, especially Broken. Goosebumps every time I hear that song live.So aye, had a great weekend - lack of sleep and Friday's hangover aside.

Plus King Charles was quality. Can`t believe he only got 30mins. Enjoyed Chvrches but what happened to London Grammar and what has happened to Paul Weller. Thought it was a joke that he was on so early but now I know why.

JakeSAFC
Best weekend of my life, the only bad bit about the whole weekend was the walk back from Calvin Harris to my tent which took me almost 2 hours in the pissing rain...

Was hoping the London Grammar singer might have came on with Disclosure. Maybe next time !
