I'm just picking up absolutely everything at the moment. Always feels so liberating in the first few hours of a game like that when you can do that with no punishment. Can't wait for the first moment where you become overencumbered and start having to drop or use things...

The view of Diamond city from the mayors office is pretty spectacular.

I'm still unsure about the new level up system. I liked being able to select perks that suited how I play, as well as having my tag skills and the ability to put points into anything.

I'm only Level 3 and overencumbered already, dammit!

Also has anyone had a wee trek along the raised freeways? Cracking views at sunrise.

You can still choose perks that suit your style. Now it's just a bit more punishing in that you have to specialise so you can't just have a character that's great at everything like previous games. You need to trade off some things and prioritise others. Character specialisation is something the other games lacked.

In saying that it's strange not having an actual skills breakdown and I'm not sure I like that. If you can't open a lock you don't get the chance to practice and improve it, you just can't touch it until you dedicate a perk after levelling up.

I remember jumping EVERYWHERE in Skyrim as it boosted your fitness/ endurance stats, followed by hours of mindless hammering at a blacksmiths to easily bring your smithing stats up.
