Worst Town In Scotland

Recommended Posts

Inverness may be the 7th or 8th largest place in the country, but I don't believe for 1 second that there are only 7 more deprived areas than Merkinch here.

It's got two Cricket Grounds

Edinburgh Accies and the Grange

Which makes it twice as posh as Uddingston

Cricket is an utterly dreadful sport and people only pretend to like it. Stockbridge having two cricket grounds is totally unacceptable and at least one should be immediately dug up and replaced by a third cheesemongers.

Can never have too much cheese.

Stockbridge isn't even that nice tbh. The cobbly bit up the hill is OK but where the Stockbridge Tap and that is often quite dirty.

Speaking of cheese shops there used to be a cheese shop in Blairgowrie out the Bridge of Cally Road run by the most unwelcoming old couple you could meet, they actively disliked your presence in the shop, cheese absolutely stank out the place as well, either that or or it was the damp. One of them passed away and they shut the shop maybe 10 years ago, shame, they did a smashing selection of ice cream.

You’re right, Bruntsfield is the place to be.

It’s handy for Tollcross I’ll grant you that

We all need to find our own balance between not wanting to live somewhere nothing happens and wanting to live somewhere nothing bad happens.

Not much difference between the two areas these days. Used to be a bit of snobbery whether a place was in one or the other.

Not a town in it's own right, but I was in Wallacetown in Ayr a few weeks ago.  Oh my.

Granted it's not the best but I've seen worse. Reeking of cannabis anytime I've passed through which fortunately is rare.
