Boostin' Kev
Preferred this thread yesterday when the Edinburgh boys were having a chat about the different parts of the city. -

Yes. But we all know that Glasgow is bigger and better than Edinburgh, so it's natural that Scotland's premier city takes centre stage.

I worked in Kelly's of Cults when I was a student. A woman was buying fennel and I had to ask what type of vegetable it was to key it in. She replied "you must get mother to give a tutorial in vegetables dear".

Boostin' Kev
Literally never met a person that's lived in Aberdeen and said they enjoyed it.
Highland Capital
Strangely, the coldest thing about Aberdeen isn't the bitter wind off the North Sea, it's the people.

Honest_Man#1
Edinburgh and Glasgow are both great places to live. Having lived in both I’d probably have Glasgow ahead for me at this point, but haven’t lived in Edinburgh long enough yet.

I used to live there, before I got older and moved out to the sticks. Was a great place to live as a 14-35 year old............ Obviously you have an element of hometown bias, but various jobs gave me weeks on end in towns and cities up and down the UK - and Aberdeen was one of the best, albeit all the Scottish cities would rank highly in UK terms. There are some dull and desperate parts of England and Wales.

The gap between rich and poor in Aberdeen is really startling.
