Septentrional Wasp
Where`s the best pub/bar near Easter Road? Not fussed for food or anything, just a decent beer and decent craic.
drs
Your best bet is probably Lauries in Laurieston. Camelon (Ochiltree) near the wheel is a long way from the ground. 6 miles perhaps and add in traffic on a Saturday afternoon through town. A good few bars near the motorway junction as well on the east side of the ground. Camelon Juniors social club is a totally different place from the Ochiltree and is 3.5 miles from TFS. Even with traffic its piss easy to get from Camelon (or indeed anywhere else out that way) to TFS using the ring road which takes you right to the ground. RedRob72
Rangers away Tradeston Ex Servicemans Club, over the M8 bridge, good for a quiet pint before the game, and only 10 mins walk back to Ibrox, Quid in - registration, good for the regular away proper football fan no problem.
Duneatin
If your heading down to Palmerston Park to see your team play Queen of the South then try the Salutation Inn in Market Square its a 5min walk to the ground.Good beer and a freindly welcolm if you give them a phone on 01387 254664 and let them know how many are coming then they will lay on some hot sausage rolls. Tell them you read about them on Pie and Bovril.

Silverton End
does anybody know if the stags head across from Dumbarton east station lets under 18s in Not too sure. Can't see it being a problem. The bowling club down past the stadium is fine though.

Casey
Re the Stags Head in Dumbarton. Definitely no under 18s allowed. Only £2.35 for a pint of Belhaven though.

bonessblue
If you're getting the train through there's a new sports bar that's good right opposite the station called Platform 5. Pretty sure most fans would be welcome in there with maybe the exception of Sevco and Hibs. The Diggers is usually quite friendly to opposing fans as well and isn't a long walk to the ground. Arch Stanton
No one done one for St. Mirren yet? The stadium is 50 yards from Paisley St. James train station. Nearest pub is actually The Craigielea Bar in Well St (about 500m away), a typical auld man boozer which I haven't frequented for years so have no idea how they would treat a load of football fans. In Caledonia St there is The Alamo and the recently reopened Caledonia both of which are very welcoming to home and away fans, both are less than a 10 minute walk from the ground. If you get off at Gilmour St station there are 5 pubs within a 30 second walk - The Last Post is a Wetherspoons, The Club Bar a small auld man boozer, Brewers Tap is a kinda Wetherspoons-esque place (both in Moss St), The Bankhouse ( Gilmour St) where you might bump into Div pregame and The Argyle which is a small Pub in Old Sneddon St. Other decent pubs in the town centre are The Bull Inn in New St and The Wee Howff in High St. From the town centre to the stadium is a 15 minute walk however there's a train at 14:50 from Gilmour St to St James which only takes 2 minutes. From the bus stops at the Town Hall you can get the Ferguslie bus which drops you at Tannahill Rd right at the stadium.
forever_blue
There's an actual Weatherspoon in Alloa town centre now, about halfway between the Star and the Thistle, in part of the old Co-Op building. It's called the Bobbing John, a name popular with history buffs and lovers of innuendo. Fnarr. I was in there before the game in January , freezing cold and started snowing , the staff started threatening to throw out another group of rangers fans for singing let it snow let it snow
Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Away supporters travelling to Morton- Our supporters club arranged to go to Victoria Bowling Club, East Crawford Street on Saturday. Well priced, friendly staff, pool table (20p a game), plenty space, cheap food for sale and only around 5 minutes walk from the ground. We'll be back in March. Well worth booking a bus in for an away trip if anyones thinking of doing so. Give the guy a shout on twitter- @GrnkVictoriaBC.

DA Baracus
Right, here's an update; - The Elizabethan (aka The Lizzie) is on Halbeath Road and 5-10 minute walk to the ground. If you're getting the train get off at Queen Margaret and it's a 5 minute walk. It's currently undergoing redevelopment. It's very popular with away fans so can be busy if there's a large away support. However... - The town centre has a lot of pubs. The Commercial (real ale) is worth a visit. If you just want a Wetherspoons with a good selection of beer at good prices and the standard food then The Guildhall and Linen Exchange on the High Street is perfectly fine. The Old Inn is where The Pars were formed and is good. Two doors down is the Creepy Wee which is quality. Across the road Tappie Toories is a small but decent pub. Somewhere Else and Montys are on Guildhall Street and both are not bad. Lorenzos is just down from them and has pool tables. The Ball Room opened last year and has pool tables, darts and a big food menu. All the above pubs are within 5 minutes of each other and 15/20 minute from the ground or 5-10 minute bus (number 19). On the way to the ground on East Port os the East Port Bar, a popular pub with Pars leanings. Towards the bottom of the town is The Watering Hole which is decent. If you get the train and get off at Dunfermline Town then this is the first pub you hit if you walk along rather than up. f**k Seven Kings and Thirsty Kirstys. And Coadys. - Legends and Charlie D's are pubs in the main stand at the ground. I imagine the majority of games will see these bars as home fans only, but if you're there early (before half 12) and not wearing colours you'll get in - On the High Street and on Guildhall Street there is a Stephen's The Bakers. Shooboax
Old Inn has fantastic burgers, they're worth a visit. Pars based boozer and where we were formed, friendly pub though. Set down by the Abbey it's a traditional style pub in a nice setting.
Shooboax
Tappie Toories was formly owned by Stuart Adamson oh Big Country fame. Pars fans used to frequent the place in number pre-match. Was boisterous and in my opinion a cowp. Clean enough but better pubs 10 yards from it. Edited June 12, 2016 by Shooboax
