AberdeenBud
Article by Andrew O'Hagan about being Assange's ghost writer http://www.lrb.co.uk/2014/02/21/andrew-ohagan/ghosting Had read that in the Graun earlier, illuminating essay. Really lays all JA's faults out objectively.
ICTChris
He's obviously quite sympathetic to Assange and Wikileaks but at the same time makes him look like a cock.
AberdeenBud
I think that's most sensible people's default position. He's in the right on most big issues, but he just seems like a completely insufferable human being.
AberdeenBud
http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/aug/18/julian-assange-leave-ecuadorian-embassy Leaving soon apparently. His press conference was laced with his usual tear stained mewling and obfuscation. This could have been solved a lot easier and earlier if he'd gone to Sweden to face the charges raised against him. Unsurprisingly he seems to want people to forget that.

Unsurprisingly he seems to want people to forget that. You mean the charges, he believes, are nothing but a front to get him to Sweden so they can extradite to him to the US to face treason charges. Yeah, cant imagine why he'd want to avoid that

Yeah, cant imagine why he'd want to avoid that Does anyone outside a few tin foil hatters actually believe the US would extradite him from Sweden? Why didn't they do it when he was/is here? Some of the fruitloops even say the US are planning to execute him ffs. I don't think he believes that at all tbh, it's just a convenient excuse to avoid the judicial process. Tom McB
It's a lot easier for the Yanks to extradite him from here than from Sweden. Exactly, given precedents.

Yeah, cant imagine why he'd want to avoid that Does he though? He is certainly saying that repeatedly but is it true? After all, as has already been mentioned, we're much more the US lapdogs than Sweden. Cameron would break the law for Obama in a heartbeat. Also, the women accusing him are both former wikileaks employees. They both worked to get the information out, same as assange but without having the huge ego and need to be on TV all the time. Apparently wikileaks works fine without him.
