The "Ford Willy" was released in North American markets in the very early 1960's

Ford UK thought that the name might prove an obstacle to sales in UK & Ireland so renamed it.

Nonetheless the "ford bufty" was never a big seller over here and it was quickly superseded by the Cortina

There are still a few ageing bufties out there cared for by enthusiastic bufty buffs

During the 1970s, over 300 left-hand-drive Citroën Amis were in use across the Western Isles and Skye, after a community multi-buy deal of some old models. These quickly fell out of favour by the late 80s when the first two-way carriageways were introduced.

During his wildly succesful Bat Out Of Hell tour in 1978, rock singer Meatloaf recorded the heaviest turd on record, weighing in at 5.87 lbs and ratified by a Guinness Book of Records official who happened to be backstage at the Cleveland Sports Arena at the time.

The record held until April 2012 when the then Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper produced a specimen weighing in at 6.21 lbs in the House Of Commons ladies room, which was again ratified by a Guinness Book Of Records official who happened to be passing by.

Climatologists and agriculturists estimate that 7% of global warming and 23% of all famines correlate with local fitness fads, due to the heat generated by exercising, and the subsequently reduced amount of 'natural fertiliser' available to grow crops, respectively.

In Iceland (the country not the quality frozen food outlet) their numerical system had no number 4, this was due in part for it being to cold for the Romans to be arsed going there.

It was the main reason behind the recent banking crisis. The government have sorted it now but still the old people get confused with the new system & try to fiddle the newsagents when they go to buy their wethers originals.

The court system is now almost at breaking point with a backlog of theiving pensioners.

Racism which is often portrayed as a negative human trait. Was in fact an essential defence and survival mechanism. Homosapiens were always under threat from other sapiens and other species like homoerectus and racism was an integral part of everyday life and very important for our survival.

Unfortunately this human trait was passed on genetically to generation after generation well after it had outstayed it's use. It peaked in the 80's when mark Walters played for rangers and is only seen in its most primitive form nowadays in large towns in Australia.
