Stu
First blood to the good guys The Americans will see gubbing Poulter as a huge psychological boost. Same if they see off Sergio and Rory. Edited September 26, 2014 by Stu

Biscuits
Would take 2-2 from here. Rose/Stenson have won. Gallacher/Poulter have lost. Crucial games are McIlroy/Garcia and Kaymer/Bjorn. That's Rory and Sergio two down, and Kaymer and Bjorn one up. We really want one point from either of those two games. The pairing of Poulter with a rookie was clearly a mistake. Should have been Westwood with either Poulter or Gallacher. Interesting to hear monty say he made the same mistake partnering Ross fisher with poulter when he was captain. Mark Connolly
Love the way Phil just smiles and applauds when his opponents hole out or hit great shots. Class act.
Mark Connolly
Donaldson/Westwood v Kuchar/Furyk Rose/Stenson v Mahan/Johnson McIlroy/Garcia v Walker/Fowler Dubuisson/GMac v Phil/Bradley Means everyone has played, and there are some crackers in there. Can't wait to see Dubuisson, especially against Phil.
Lex
Poulter, Gallacher, Bjorn and Kaymer missing out for Europe. Surprised Speith and Reed missing out for the Yanks given how well they played this morning.

Stu
Wow! Mickelson! He has a habit of missing puts like that. Bjorn and Kaymer wasted half a point.
Lex
Bjorn and Kaymer really through that away on the final green . Halved match. 1 and a half - 1 and a half total score now. Edited September 26, 2014 by Lex

Mark Connolly
Been a bit of a meh morning for Europe. A win for Sergio and Rory down 18 and 2.5-1.5 looks good despite not playing particularly well. 2-2 would be fine, being behind wouldn't be great. Fancy us in the 4somes, though it never seems to resemble the 4some I play, where someone is always saying "f*ck sake" as they head for the trees or wander 10 feet past to tidy up the 4 footer you just missed!

Mark Connolly
Ah! us amateurs! What we like? Lol Until you have experienced attempting to bend one the wrong way round a tree, then chased it to stop the neds stealing your ball, you haven't played real golf. Get the Ryder Cup to Royal Lethamhill.
Stu
Disaster is maybe going a bit far but this has been a bad morning for the Europeans. Threw away a win in the second game, gubbed in the third and lost the fourth which was winnable. The Americans will be delighted they beat Rory, Sergio and Poulter too.
