Luncarty 1-2 Fauldhouse United

Fauldhouse were worthy winners this afternoon. They finished the game much stronger thanLuncarty , who did't have the talent available to them that the visitors introduced to great effect midway through the 2nd half. The young no14 lad who came on & played wide right was outstanding.

Luncarty gave a very good account of themselves for 80mns but they tired & Fauldhouse were in total control of the last 10 mns.

Luncarty will enjoy their trip to Newlandsfield in a couple of weeks & have several talented lads who will relish the opportunity to play there.

Decent crowd of about 100 saw a keenly fought cup tie, played on a carpet of a surface. Ref booked 5 or 6, could have flashed a couple of reds but he did a good job.

Good set up at Luncarty, nice Social Club with a beer garden, the pies are too good just to have one, excellent Bovril, good programme as well.

MOM Fauldhouse United no 2, good defensive performance gets about the pitch well & uses the ball well, good discipline.

A good trip yesterday to a sun-kissed Luncarty... picturesque wee ground with a nice club house, brilliantly flat pitch and plenty of dodgy players and home dug-out dingbats who took plenty of stick, banter, abuse at times and some who even bit back and entered into a battle of verbal wits with the away fans .... there was only ever going to be only one winner there........ top it off with a good team effort and a last minute winner from a classy Jason Alexander... what more can a man ask for?

This was a better performance than our 2 previous over-the-forth tips and whilst Luncarty were not great in the first half, they played better in the 2nd with the number 9 showing some good touches and looking threatening. A special word for our back 3 of Jamie gal (1st goal and won all his headers... great player when he does the simple things a defender should do), Sam Scott (a 100% performance as always but some excellent tackles and headers and blocks and last minute interceptions) and Mikey Brown (has been excellent in defence- is this his best position?).. Jason Deans switched back in there in the second half and was excellent throughout the 90 mins.

Not one person played bad and when everyone contributes, even the subs, then you know it was a good team performance and as fans (another excellent turn out of Hoosians for this far away fixture) , that is all we ask for.

Some highlights for me were the wee number 2 who looked like the wee fat guy from the Blues brothers, the number 8 who was making his first appearance since playing the title role in Gregory's girl and the balding Woody Harleston number 10 look alike who was playing left side first half... got involved in some stick with us and then refused to play left side second half as he would need to be near us.

To be fair, Luncarty players took the stick well with only the 10 biting.... if junior football loses it's banter and shouting from the fans then the game becomes a wee kick about in the park.

Very Happy Hoose!

Home v Montrose RL today!

Expecting 3 points (nothing else!)and a good home display to entertain the loyal fans to keep us on track.....cmon the Hoose!!

If it is "Grim up North" then it will also be down here for the poor souls of Montrose as they make the long journey to visit us at Park View today. Not just the weather which is rotten but they should get nothing from an improving Hoose side who could just about be getting back to form.

A few out last week and some good men on the bench... who will start today? We all have our own thoughts, but on a day when Willie Henderson is speaking at the Hoose Sportsman's Dinner tonight, should we perhaps "Git right intae thum" and play 2 people really wide and 2 up front? effectively 4 attackers? We have the personnel that's for sure. The frisky flier played great when he came on last week out wide and almost scored the goal of the season which had people gasping in disbelief and appreciation. Jayson A came on also and looked a class apart. Shanky's made his first appearance after suspension and is a cracking talent, as is Sean who can bomb up a line......

I am just waiting for us to put someone right to the sword and hopefully today is the day.

Looking forward to keeping the unbeaten (7 from 9) home record going.

Mon the Hoose!

Delighted with the 3 points but all credit to Montrose as they made us work hard for the win and no pushovers as some believed before the match. Belied their position in the league. Another hard one away to Dunbar on Saturday but hopeful we can keep it goingCmon the Hoooooooooooooooooooose..

Is young Ross worthy of a starting jersey in the big game away at Dalkeith this Saturday? I thought the lad, whilst he still has a lot to learn about timing and pass selection, was absolutely outstanding on Saturday. When you add in his two goals ( combined yardage from goal of 1.5!) it made for a man of the match performance. Also really glad to see Samir Nasri back from his 6 match suspension and show some good form, which he continued into Saturday evening with Baz, Shaun Ryder and JP Fauldhouse.

It looks like an absolute cracker on Saturday. See you all there.

My mistake Dalkieth not { Dunbar } can you ever forgive me.... Always a toughie through there but if we play as we can and put the effort in then hopefully we can come away with the points. Still feel we can be better and with a little better luck in front of goal we could be punishing teams but dont get me wrong every game is hard in this league but we are hanging in there and i am happy with progress so far. Cmon the Hoooooooooooooose.

Can't wait to return to the scene of the "great game robbery" from 2 seasons ago. One spare seat- leaving at 1 pm if anyone can tolerate us for the trip! Let me know. Mon the Hoose!

I would settle for the same result Kinky lol. Best of luck for today. Mon The Jags!!!

Hope you enjoyed the game Jaggy. It would have been a travesty if a dodgy sending off had robbed the lads of a win. The first half performance was a refreshing change to our sporadic sticatto start to the season.

Cracking shape to the team and some great passing and finishing. Sending off changed the came and the False Teeth (Dalkeith) had all of the game with the Hoose hanging on and ultimately holding out.

Sweet revenge even though we finished with 10 men.... Again.

Great performances from Jamie Gal, from now on known as "The Victim" and Chilli despite a wee handbags kicking match with their keeper near the end, I thought he was outstanding today and probably man of the match.

Good day out in the sun for the vocal travelling red and white army. Another win and creeping up the table.

Mon the Hoose!

What size of gate are you lads expecting today?

Looking forward to seeing this team and ground for the first time today.

I would imagine 100 would be a big attendance if you bring some. We have a nice wee ground and a cracking pitch. We are starting to play well too so should be a good game after last years 2-0 for you. I see mcBookie have the Hoose at 4/5 favs ???? Time will tell. Come and say hi to us

noisy lads behind the away dug out in the coo shed and introduce yourself. Enjoy!

Mon the Hoose!
