A quick update on the voting.

A total of 67 different posters have received votes so far, with 27 of them having received a vote from more than one person,

A clear top three has emerged, with each of these posters having received votes from 10 or more people. The top two are currently tied on points AND have both received the same number of first place votes.

It's probably no real surprise, but it's still a bit disappointing that a few "flavour of the month" posters have made their way on to the list, but I'd say the top 15 at the moment is looking pretty solid and accurate.

Sometime about March 2011. One of the Mods put this up, since he was being "economical" with what happened:-

I mind that comment about teachers and kiddy porn. I remember that his evidence solely came from that if you Googled "teacher child porn" (without quotation marks) it came up with so many million results.

Much hilarity ensued when it turned out Googling "Fat Pipefitter c**t" (again, without quotation marks) came up with more hits.

A major factor in my voting was for posters who's names are regularly mentioned in recently created threads that they haven't even posted in yet. I'd say they've been fairly influential on the site if a topic comes up and numerous people's first reaction is to think of them/how they'd react to the topic.

Would imagine the top ten will be something like this, though not necessarily in order:

1) Law Stud/Stuart Dickson - rustled an awful lot of jimmies while he was here, as mentioned above you still see his name mentioned in threads about the NHS/call centres/sky.

2) Ric - has had several resignations, spends a lot of time trying to rustle jimmies but not quite as successful as Stu

3) Div - mod of the site after all, kinda stands to reason he'd be up there

4) xbl - is fairly prominent on the general nonsense section, haven't really been to the 2nd/3rd division forum so not sure how influential he is in Arbroath threads

5) vikingTon - regularly gets involved in petty flame wars, and has caused more than one person on here to claim that they actively take a dislike to Morton purely because of him

6) Kilt - Caused a big, big stir on p&b for a while.

7) Supras - is fairly prominent on misc. football chat, and gets an awful lot of people riled up using pretty much nothing but these: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ChewbaccaDefense http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AdHominem http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ArgumentumAdNauseam http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWarOnStraw?from=Main.StrawMan

edit: particularly these two from the chewbacca defense bit: "Being accused of loving or hating X, where X is a subject unrelated to the debate" and "Having semantics or nitpicks about the argument come up repeatedly, either to tire out or distract the opponent, or to waste time."

8) Swampy - eloquent, articulate, and an impeccable phone manner. Claims to fame include BEASTWATCH 2k13, ^^^ verge of whatever and I'm fairly sure :1eye <<<< you was him as well

9) mhak - #veryinfluentialposter (but seriously, a lot of his jokes have been copied on here so he's been an influence. And he's worth listening to on the get fit thread so I guess thats kinda influencing people to do squatz and eat oatz)

10) HibeeJibee - I like the guy, and people regularly try to blow the Horn of HibeeJibee whenever a footballing rules/laws topic comes up to get his two cents on the matter

Savo and/or Perthshirebell should perhaps be there too.

It was XBL who came up with 'box office'; I can't take credit for it, even if I'm the Harrison Ford to his Mark Hamill.

Surely Vikington is Mark Hamill? Absolutely no idea who his father is and probably wants to f**k his own sister.
