Going on holiday yourself is class. So far today I've lay by the pool sipping cocktails, had a few beers on the balcony before I went for a shower, watched both Rocky 2 & 3 in Spanish and now I'm sitting with a pint of wine after eating a large dinner and three deserts

I can't remember much about my brief solo trip to Buenos Aires, largely because the restaurants seem to give you a complimentary bottle of malbec at every meal like it was table water.

Most of it got tanked before the food turned up, and with the top-up of cheap tasty cold beer through the hot day, I spent most of the daylight hours fairly... erm, merry.

Protecting Vulnerable Groups.

Are you not required to have one as a University lecturer?

I had a disclosure check done when I joined the uni in 2013. That was all (though I have had a load of training since then).

PVG is a scheme within Disclosure Scotland for working with children and vulnerable adults.

It would certainly be more applicable to teachers, but I'd have thought some lecturers/tutors would need one too.

Maybe it is now, I am not sure. But I can see why it would be needed.

Got married on Saturday. Absolutely phenomenal weekend and it goes in far too fast.

Definitely got a bit of the post wedding blues at the moment trying to adjust back to normal life after the months of planning and anticipation, then the adrenaline fuelled day itself. Feel like I’m on a proper comedown.

Congratulations to you both.

I hated planning, anticipation and all that. Once it was done, it was great.

Quick advice: she will never accept any excuse for forgetting the anniversary. I have tried them all.
