Reasons to be Cheerful

Recommended Posts

Bold move Derek, best of luck! I dunno if you would be interested, but the call centre in my work is regularly looking for people (which might be a bad sign, I suppose).

I've got you on FB, so if you fancy any info, let me know.

Didn't exactly have too much to drink but I'm not in the slightest feeling rough, considering I normally feel a bit wabbit after a night on the pish.

Steak pie.

Ohh yesss.

Made one today. Stew, a bottle of stout (cairngorm black gold), 2 knorrs stock pots, a dash of Worcester sauce, in the slow cooker for 7 hours, cooked off some Lincolnshire sausages, chopped them up, mixed them through, then a slab of pastry on the top, put in the oven till the pastry was golden brown, served up with roast potatoes. Lovely.

My mate does this - I thought he was a nutter but now that I'm aware of someone else doing it, I have to ask - is putting sausages in a steak pie a thing? I genuinely hadn't heard of it until about a fortnight ago.

Edit: Spelling.

I wouldn't put Lincolnshires in it. Beef sausages/links from the butchers. Lincolnshires should be cooked in the oven on a tray with onion, peppers, chillies and tomatoes, until the veg is starting to burn.
