Went for lunch with the Mrs and now I'm away back to the pub for a few hours. BFTD Posted June 22, 2016 Share Posted June 22, 2016 My Dad has broken his hip. Hopefully a straightforward operation tomorrow morning but he'll be in hospital for at least a week, maybe longer. He's pretty comfortable zonked out on morphine. The RTBC is I'll be able to watch the EUROs in my local beer garden while other people look after him. My mother's just had a hip replacement. Amazed at how straightforward these surgeries are now. It's been less than two weeks and she's taking a trip on the bus today.
