Lessons learned and all that but rocketry doesn't seem to have advanced in 5 decades

Looking at some YouTube videos of the above pad destruction I'd say the problem was more with launch facility design.

You easily tell it's fake because the apparent size of the moon is far bigger than the sun.  Doesn't matter how close the moon gets to the Earth during it's cycle, or where on Earth you view it from, it's apparent size is always about the same as the sun.  In addition, when there's a solar eclipse, the sky doesn't almost instantly turn black.

Cool video though.

Cost around half as much as the Interstellar film budget.  Good luck to them. :thumsup2

P.S. Shame the Russian effort crashed, they might have been able to film the landing.

Does this mean that we will no longer have to send aid money to India? Bad enough handing over cash to a country with nuclear weapons let alone one with a fully functioning space program.

For a country with a population of one and a half billion the cost of $75 million wouldn't go far in efforts to end poverty, developing technology to launch satellites to monitor weather, flood risks and aid agriculture probably gives more benefit. Anyway, most of our foreign aid money now goes towards jailing asylum seekers in barges and hotels rather than letting them work and pay taxes.

But they’ve already got that technology and just spent a fortune on a prestige publicity stunt mission.

They’d probably blow the lot on food and medicine anyway

Think of what they can do for all the hungry poor when they start mining all that cheese and shipping it home!
