Cheers Mr Brown for the information, out of that group I didn't recognise Pat Quinn. I think he must have been in his twilight years when tis photo was taken.

Ones I recognise were Billy McPhee (played 5's with Billy for a few years),Bertie Miller a good tricky winger.

Of the ones not in the photo I remember Dave Clarke,Walter Borthwick and Graeme Honeyman (what relation is the Honeyman that's at East Fife just now).

A wee story about Dave Clarke in he 1970's he had a hotel in Lochgelly and they had a team in the local amateur league. My team were due to play them at the Beveridge Park and low and behold a certain Mr Clarke was named on the team lines.  One of our players a staunch Rovers man bragged he was going to do him. After 5 or 10 mininutes the said player was writhing on the ground and had to be subbed amd it wasn't even a foul. We got beat but on protest we were awarded the points. As far as I can recall Davie Clarke received an SFA fine. The thing about it was he actually did us a favour by nobbling our player. If he reads this and remembers thank you Davie.

Davies Clark owned the Jubilee Hotel in Lochgelly which he bought from my grandad. Remember it well.

All these little nuggets of info help.  👍

Falkirk, generally get bigger crowds than both Raith & Partick & were going for the title when they came to us, it's also closer, but the crowd was lower than a Raith derby.

Time In League One is proven to reduce attendance with relegated clubs. I would expect next years “Falkirk Bonus” to be smaller by a few hundred, as is inherent in playing the “same sides” in a “diddy league”. Certainly some of Falkirk’s attendees were first-times checking a park off their list. By that same token, Partick would be a much better add to League One than QoS, due to almost double average attendance.

A Raith Derby, especially with either side or both playing competitively within the League, will almost always draw better than anything short of some Premiership teams.

Null and void is dead, and the reality is that Raith do not look to be in a League with EF next year, to the financial detriment of at least EF. Losing Falkirk as well would be an additional hard hit to the budget, as while Cove will bring a reasonable support, Edinburgh are not likely to even come close to replacing Falkirk’s numbers.

Well done, the Club can hold it’s head high after taking the morally correct choice, a lot of Club’s Boards need to take a good long look at themselves, trying to profiteer out of this situation is reprehensible!!!

Excellent statement. Proud of our club standing up for the right thing.

Birthday caird pish. You voted no cause you are prime time playoff contenders and no amount of cheese dick statements will convince anyone otherwise.

Pass me the sick bucket.

I'm sure the thought of losing 2 home games to Raith may also have crossed their mind.

Did he pass the ball back from the opposition half to his own keeper time after time even in amateur games 😄

Hats off to East Fife for their principled stance! I don't believe any side should be relegated and firmly believe that restructuring is the only fair way to proceed. Having said that, I also understand clubs might have voted for the proposal just to have funds released.

Your new shirt looks great, by the way.799637795_EastFifeTartanStrip1.jpg.b5af52043a513428674022cf2bba8177.jpg

I think it's marvellous that your club allowed you to vote on it.

Best wishes for the future.
