Edinburgh or Glasgow?

Recommended Posts

Not sure if it's been debated before on here - apologies if it has.

For those not from Glasgow or Edinburgh which of these cities would you rather live in?

Which do you think Scotland should be most proud of - or ashamed of?

Oh it's been debated here all right. To sum up:

Glasgow's a shithole.

Edinburgh is dull.

Both sides will accuse the other of an inferiority complex.

Ric will post some made-up nonsense about smelling breweries in Leith.

I've experienced the horrible brewery smell of Edinburgh. It's awful and after a heavy night out the next morning waking up to an inescapable smell of a brewery is unpleasant to say the least.

Aye, in Slateford or Gorgie. Not Leith, as Ric was insisting on.

Most people in Edinburgh are quite stuck-up, even the jakeys have their heads rammed up their arse.

Glasgow for me - I regret not moving there for University.

Taking your moronic trolling into other threads won't help you.

Glasgow - More fun

Edinburgh - Nicer city

We should be more proud of - Edinburgh

Where would I rather live - ...I'll say Glasgow for now.

Can't argue with that. Rarely in Edinburgh for more than a night out but after 5 years I'd happily continue to live in Glasgow.

The fountain brewery was the biggest Brewery in Europe at one point. It was next to my primary school and sometimes smelled either horrible or lovely depending on taste.

It's no longer there and the Wellpark brewery in the East end of Glasgow is now by far the biggest brewery in Scotland. It presumably smells similar.
