I'm sure Reynard will take succor in your support.

Ah yes the progressive liberal method of bullying and then maybe reverting to a victim when somebody responds. Why don't you quote some poll just to be consistent?

I think, more in the way of embarrassing those people who were dancing the streets and generally behaving in the most despicable way possible, there should be a minute's silence before all sporting events on Saturday

I think you should lead by example then Davie. You go first by doing a minute's silence, then another, and another, and another after that, then another...

Also, like a lot of other posters on here you've been brainwashed by a progressive, leftie media which promotes the rights of tiny minorities and in so doing undermines any moral order for the majority. That's another irony of course which is that at the core of the liberal agenda is self interest but you're not going to understand that.

...

A society that fails to recognize God is a disordered one and everything that I've read from the leftie progressive liberal crowd reeks of contradiction.

...

You have your opinions and I'll retain my standards ok? Thanks

Irreversibly changed the political landscape he operated in, a divise character, a strong leader, stood up against groups that sought to undermine democracy in his country etc etc blah blah blah.

Love him or hate him, it's a disgrace to treat someone's death disprespectfully.

Chavez:

Good, another oppressive socialist c**t gone.

Put a stake through his heart, if he has one.

*shrugs*

Oppressive, unpleasant and not what Venezuela needs in a leader. But it's not about the man; the regime remains.

Morons

I displayed total indifference to Chavez' death. At no point did I say I would dance on his grave or that I was glad he was dead.

ETA: Indeed it's entirely consistent with what I've said of Thatcher. You can criticise her politics and her record, absolutely. But glorification of death is a different matter. You can "not mourn" without being unpleasant.

You just knew they would contradict themselves. Great work finding the posts.

Except what I've said isn't remotely contradictory. I am not Reynard.

I expressed indifference to Chavez's death (that's what a "shrug" is) and contained my criticism to his record. By the same measure, I have said that people shouldn't delight in Thatcher's death, but can absolutely criticise her record.

Please explain what is contradictory about my contribution here.

"Oppressive". "Unpleasant".

The man is dead for god's sake. Show some decorum for fucks sake. He's a human being!

He was oppressive. He was unpleasant. Anyone who thinks Thatcher was oppressive and unpleasant is completely entitled to say so here too. What they shouldn't then do is go "ding dong the witch is dead". There's clear water between those two kinds of action.
