Personally, I think Brees has been insensitive, his words un-necessary, even though he is entitled to them. I do not believe he thinks players taking a knee are simply disrespecting the flag. I think Brees knows fine and well why they’re doing it. He’s certainly guilty of being a prize twat, but again, personally speaking, I’ll reserve my contempt not for Brees, but for the likes of Tyreek Hill, Michael Vick, and those of that ilk. There are more than a few.

Adams won't be going anywhere. He has two more years left on his contract, then the Jets can use the franchise tag on him twice if they want. So they have him under four more years of control. He better get used to the green and white.

Deebo Samuel broke his foot doing some workouts so he's out for a bit. Niners may have to lean on Pettis who really needs to do something now going into his 3rd year at SF. His route running is apparently very good but he just hasn't delivered on the promise he is meant to have.

I'm not sure what Adams really thinks can happen? He has absolutely no leverage, and the Jets have absolutely no incentive to trade him, especially with him being on a rookie contract.

Next year when his salary jumps to $9 million, maybe you consider it, but you better get a haul.

I agree btw, think it's a strange time to try and engineer a move. He can't really force a move and teams aren't keen to spend much, whilst there is Salary Cap uncertainty (not to mention whether the games will go ahead).

If we're confronting a teams connections to racism might want to look at yer franchises team name too.

I wouldn't put too much stock into anything unless you hear start hearing Adam Schefter dropping tidbits.

Again, if the Jets trade the best safety in the league with four years left of control for a first-round draft pick and a middle-of-the road safety, they are beyond incompetent.

It's a start, Marshall was a racist arsehole who deliberately refused to sign black players long after everybody else in a desperate (and, depressingly, probably successful) plan to attract Souther support.

They should really change both names seeing as that George bloke was a bit slavey.

The Niners are going to be struggling with salary cap space as it stands so adding Adams, whilst a lovely thought, is highly unlikely unless they make big sacrifices elsewhere on the team.

Short term yes but long term with monster deals needed for the likes of Bosa and Kittle it would seem unlikely to be anything more than a year maybe two though perhaps going all in on this roster to win the SB ASAP is what needs to be done. Certainly wouldn't complain if he ended up at the Niners of course

ETA: This is interesting. Because of the remaining money on the respective players contracts Adams would actually cost less than Jaquiski Tartt...

That assumes then that the 49ers wouldn't pick up his fifth-year option and would just have him for a year. Yet another reason this deal won't happen as the Jets aren't trading the best safety in the league for peanuts and to take on a bigger cap hit with Tartts. Grant Cohn is peddling false hope.
