Hall of fame cornerback Willie Brown has died aged 78. Brown played college at Gambling State but wasn't drafted in the 1963 draft. Brown was picked up the same year by the Denver Broncos of the AFL who he reamined with until 1966. The following season he joined the Oakland Raiders also of the AFL where he reamined for the rest of his career retiring in 1978. Brown played in all three Raiders Superbowl victories with his most memorable moment coming in Superbowl XI against the Vikings where he intercepted a Fran Tarkenton pass & took the ball 75 yards for a touchdown.

Besides 3 Superbowls Brown was a 1984 hall of fame inductee, a 4 time Pro Bowler, an AFL winner in 1967, a 5 time AFL all star, an AFL all time teamer & part of the 1970's all decade team. Over his career Brown had 54 ints for 472 yards & 2 touchdowns.

After playing Brown was a DB coach at the Raiders, head coach for the now defunct Long Beach college football program in it's last season & head coach of Jordan High School. At the time of his death Brown was director of staff development at the Raiders, a role he had been in since 1995.

Reasonably happy with the Sanders addition. The Niners options at WR are pretty poor and only Kittle is any kind of receiving threat. Given the schedule is only going to get harder having some kind of Number 1 receiver will hopefully give Jimmy G some more options to pass to instead of the opposition.

Broncos moving into re-build mode. It’s sad to see a player like Sanders leave, but looking at it coldly, it’s a fair trade for both teams, and a good move for Sanders. There are clearly many issues affecting the Broncos, not least morale within the current roster for the rest of this season, but the biggest issue is letting Elway loose on a bunch of draft picks. He’ll draft two cheerleaders from The Ohio State University.

The 49ers strength of schedule so far is .282, no other team is below .400

Fucking frauds.

TBF before the season started they had one of the harder SoS (around 10th IIRC). I do agree that they aren't as good as their record suggests however. The defence is carrying the team for the most part.

Maybe frauds (I do think we are in a false position as have serious doubts about Jimmy G) but we beat the Rams.
