Have we though? The only back up to start a game since 1992 is Matt Flynn, who since creating Packer Records in 2011(in a shoot out win over the Lions), has lost a QB battle in Seattle and been cut by Oakland and Buffalo.

Our backups last year, Harrell and Coleman, were horrific.

Was more meaning Hasselbeck, Rodgers himself and yeah Flynn, who looked to be a decent QB with the Packers.

I think Wallace will be a competent, but not spectacular, reserve for the next few games. The running game will take a lot more focus, to run down the clock and prevent shoot outs. I'm hopeful that with a week's prep behind him, we have a more suitable offence for him.

He promised much at Seattle and delivered hee haw.

This Packers team is much more equipped to handle the loss of Aaron Rodger than previous teams. They have finally achieved a truly balanced offense with Lacy and even James Starks chipping in. Their defense is underrated. They are excellent against TE run and shut down Adrian Peterson and the secondary is no joke either.

If they can squeak a couple of wins and make it to the playoffs when Rodgers is said to be back, they still have a chance.

Question.

Denver are playing Chicago and are winning 21-20 with 8 minutes to go in the third. Suddenly a lightning storm emerges local and makes it unsafe to play. The officials suspend the game but the weather continues and it doesnt seem to be going away.

What happens?

What are the provisions for abandoned games in the NFL?

"All games that are suspended temporarily and resumed on the same day, and all suspended games that are postponed to a later date, will be resumed at the point of suspension. On suspension, the referee will call timeout and make a record of the following: team possessing the ball, direction in which its offense was headed, position of the ball on the field, down, distance, period, time remaining in the period, and any other pertinent information required for an orderly and equitable resumption of play."

Reports suggesting the Packers have signed Matt Flynn

I guess they have to do something after Sunday's game. Are the amount of QBs used in the NFL at this stage of the season higher than an average season?
