The original USFL ran for three seasons between 83 & 85 with a move to autumn/winter in direct competition with the NFL for 86 never happening as the league ceased before the planned season. The push to compete with the NFL directly was pushed by the New Jersey Generals owner a certain former POTUS. Sorry to see him go as a Falcon fan as the offense could've been something else this year with Ridley, Pitts and support from Gage, Hurst plus others.I felt he is near a tipping point in his career, not the AJ Green levels but more recovery, injury hampering his play. No doubt still a top level WR.Not sure Titans quite fit the bill as a win now team that he said he wanted. Falcons move on but would have preferred a future 1st rounder in 3 years or so.
