JamboMikey
Yeah he's here until the end of the season, and to be fair he's definitely added a new dimension to us up front. otherwise we wouldn't even be in the final in the first place, a lot of Hearts fans forget that. I reckon that with a decent player or two beside him, and a decent striking coach who knows how to get the best out of him, then he'd be a decent enough striker somewhere, just not at Liverpool as I can't see him ever making it there. Sutton is contracted until the end of next season I think (can someone confirm?) and it's probably going to be him and Stevo up front once Ngoo goes back to Liverpool, although with a bit of luck we may have new owners and things might change..........hopefully Sutton's got another year.Has anyone heard these rumours about Wilson signing a pre-contract? Seems entirely improbable to me.

Galajambo
Total love in from both sets of fans. I can appreciate why that's difficult for you people to grasp, but this is what it's really like when two non Old Firm sides meet in a final, it's nice to be nice, you should try it to others sometimes. Sutton's got another year. Has anyone heard these rumours about Wilson signing a pre-contract? Seems entirely improbable to me. As far as I know his contract with Liverpool is up at the end of the season and we've got first dibs on him, he could do with someone experienced to play alongside as there's no way he's of Liverpool quality, but he'd definitely be a decent player in our league. Stu
Hopefully I can type this without breaking down in tears every five minutes, not that anyone reading it will know. Yesterday was one of the best days of my life so far, if not the best. Maybe sounds a bit over the top but I'm not married and don't have kids. When you support a team like St Mirren days like that make up for the utter dross of most of the 1990s and the early 2000s. You go through that all hoping nad praying that one day you'll get your reward. You worry it will never arrive - but yesterday it finally did. It shouldn't have though. We were absolutely awful for the first half hour. Hearts should have killed us off and been home and hosed. I've no idea what happened as, with the exception of Dummett, they'd all played in the semi-final. The equaliser came out of absolutely nothing. I thought Teale was offside (the replay shows he wasn't), then I was wondering what the hell he was doing as I hadn't noticed Goncalves bombing forward. I thought he had to be offside too (he wasn't) and then waited for the ball flying past the post rather than whizzing into the net. After the first half hour I'd have grabbed 1-0 at half-time. Getting in level was an absolute steal. So many times I've seen us be on top, not make our dominance count and be made to pay for it so I hoped at half-time the roles would be reversed. They were. It was a terrific move for the equaliser, a wonderful ball from Dummett and such a nonchalent finish from Thompson. He just walked onto it and lashed it home. Roy of the Rovers stuff for him - who wouldn't want to score for your boyhood team in a cup final in front of your own fans - a cup final you go on to win? You felt at the time we really needed a third - I'm not just saying that out of hindsight. It was another fantastic move, a brilliant ball through from Isma and Newton with a run I said afterwards could only be described as Andy Dorman-esque. I was sitting right in line and he was miles onside, though I didn't realise until the highlights he hit it first time. Thought at first he'd hit the side netting but it was a terrific hit. Not a bad way to get your first senior goal - and I liked how he got a bit lost and started off running towards the Hearts fans! You just knew it was going far too easily for us at that point and I got worried when we started with "You're not singing anymore". We seemed to ride it out not too badly at first but the injury to Thompson really hit us - liked how he said on Sportsound he came off to be replaced by someone I'd run about a lot. Funny, I thought we put Parkin on for him! When Stevenson's second trundled in I really feared the worst, especially when we started messing around in the corner with far too long left. My mate's pre-match 3-3 prediction, along with Aberdeen's collapse on Saturday, just kept going round my head. We didn't half ride our luck in those few moments. Had we lost a third we'd have lost in extra time or even normal time and I'd probably have been genuinely suicidal. With the changes we'd have had no chance in extra time, but when we managed to get it clear and won that free-kick after Carey rolled 20 odd times I felt we should be OK, we could get it in the corner and then we'd be fine. In the end there was no need for that. What a moment. I hugged my brother, tried to hug my dad, hugged strangers around me and all the rest of it. Simply unbelievable scenes that continued back in Paisley - never thought I'd see my dad clapping along to music, let alone some of the dross that was being played in County Square! Folk can moan, perhaps rightly, about the organisation but I had a great time - especially booing that disgrace of a provost who voted against the stadium move. Met up with someone I used to work with for a few pints before heading home. Apparently one pub was stupid enough not to let folk in wearing colours! After I got in I couldn't get to sleep as I kept singing "Teale will tear you apart". I managed to hold it together fairly well from an emotional point of view yesterday but kept welling up today. The worst bit was when I was listening to the Sportsound podcast going back down the road. Had the morning off and when I got in to work everyone had a good laugh at my voice being just about gone - and it didn't get any better! Kept wanting to burst into song but managed to hold that off until I walked home. Still on a high, still can't believe it - wish I was still in Paisley to see the players in the pubs. What a day. What a night. Thank you St Mirren.

Jambo Stu
Barred from Kilty Kilty How in gods name did you manage that! Basically the bouncer and the manager wouldn't let me show my colours, despite ( as with everywhere else) not a single person being bothered and getting good banter with everyone so i decided I was going to leave in style. When we scored our second goal on the telly, I necked my pint and whipped my jacket off and danced about the pub celebrating and waving my scarf until the bouncer escorted me out and shoved me out the door.
