Does anyone remember what the other kit option was with the home kit? I seem to remember there being a sort of clean white away top but don’t remember them ever releasing results of the votes

Very pleased at Joe McKee. If Hopkirk is as good as our last central defender from Stenny then he’ll be ok.

He’s a striker mate

The biggest thing for me so far with all these signings, is competition for places, bringing in guys out to prove a point, and make themselves first names on the team sheet.

I also like the fact we are handing out some two year deals as well, so that the next close season we still have something to build around when others inevitably move on.

Not sure I'm too keen on 2 year deals for injury prone players but I'm delighted with McKee back and Hopkirk and MacLean at least appear to have potential to be good, just need to see how it works as a team. Faz clearly looking to give some guys security, hopefully the players repay the faith shown in them.

Faz isnt messing about.

I think a big issue for us in recent years has been that we havent had players together for a proper pre-season. Guys take longer to get fit and longer to gel. It'll be a huge benefit having the bulk of the squad together for pre-season, friendlies and the cup games. Hopefully hit the ground running at the start of the season. I'm actually getting quite excited for the new season and we're still about 7 weeks away from league games.

Hopkirk and MacLean are signings I quite like. Both of them have something to prove but at the same time have a good pedigree and experience under their belts. Faz strikes me as the type of guy players really take to and want to play for so hopefully that will help get the best out of them.

As others have alluded to, I’d rather be signing guys like this than guys from the exit trials in order to just get a team on the pitch.
