Sons' sorrow

Bob McHugh still on pfa website, if Stevie(I refuse to call him stee) is as good as getting the best out of players as we're hearing, surely he's worth trying to get, we had Buchanan and never looked brilliant,

Couldn't agree more.

You're a goal scorer away from having a team that could potentially really challenge Morton, Falkirk, Queens and Raith for 4th place. Perhaps even St Mirren - depending on signings.

Best of luck and f**k Alloa.

Not a chance we're offering that. Name one player in our squad who will be on that sort of money?

Even 200 quid a week plus full time employment equates to more than that what most full-time clubs at this level can offer. Now that clubs are starting to live within their means we are reaping the benefits of being part-time. It allows players to further their careers outside of football whilst still playing in what is considered a very good league.

Long gone are the days of diddy full timers paying silly money and thankfully we are basking in it.

Ray McKinnon was speaking to the local press in Kirkcaldy and said he was specifically targeting young players because it was becoming increasingly difficult to persuade more experienced players with kids and a mortgage etc to move into full time football.
