This is outstanding news.

It’s almost like my brain is programmed to never get too excited about news involving DFC. I can’t help but feel paranoid until I know the alleged new owners aren’t some sort of property developers who are ready to wind us up before the game tomorrow.

They're going to build housing. I'm convinced of it. One of the guys is an architect and the others developers.

There's been plans to build on the car park at the stadium for quite a wee while. I wonder if they could be using that to fund the buy-out.

Either way. I'm slightly buzzing that Brabco are gone, and terrified for the future. Hopefully we find out more about them and their plans soon.

I suppose it depends who's bought them?

I understand the caution, feel the same to an extent and they’ll need to outline their plans in full before they get any form backing from me. However, let’s not be in any doubt at all that this is a massive upturn in events given the complete lack of stewardship and direction under Brabco, not to mention their incompetent grand plans to relocate the club with neither the capability or capital.

It may be another step in to the unknown but I welcome it with open arms given recent years.

I just can't get excited until I know their intentions, getting rid of Rankine was great until we ended up with Brabco. A company being set up called More Homes DFC has me shitting my pants, I must be honest.

My mate has just informed me a new company related to them has just been set up called 'more homes dfc Ltd'. That's concerning
Set up two weeks ago. Matthew Atkinson is a mutual director of both. He's the architect. I've got the fear about this but willing to wait for a statement from them before going for full blown panic.Screenshot_20210430-201341_Samsung%20Internet.jpeg

Even if with your large arms,How can you welcome the unknown? I hope I'm wrong but it sounds rotten

I’m cautiously optimistic. Like most I’ll wait to hear their plans but we were on a steady decline to League 2 at best under Brabco, or oblivion at worst. We’ve suffered from years of absent ownership, lack of investment and uncertainty that’s in effect crippled the club from anything other than simply surging, just. In anyone’s book the departure of Brabco has to be celebrated.

Maybe the director is an architect who specialises in behind goal terracing and eco friendly social clubs with panoramic views of sports stadia....
