BW Charlie
Best of luck to Jim. This comes from someone whos had cardiac problems. Listen to your body and your doctors. Come back when your ready. You'll know yourself when that is. Keep safe and a speedy recovery to the big man. Take care. From a Clyde supporter. MOFOREVER
Any Jim Duffy team is hard to beat and even in opposition you have to have great respect for the man. A proper football man through and through. Best wishes Jim from a Montrose fan 'through and through' and look forward to you pounding the touchline again next season whenever that starts.
TheFarPost
Thanks for all the good wishes for Jim. Really appreciated! https://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/news/?mode=view&id=4454 And just in case the latest charitable donation to the game via the SPFL Trust leaves people thinking clubs like ours will be rolling in dosh https://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/news/?mode=view&id=4455
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
With Jim being 61 now you have to wonder if he might be thinking of chucking it after his health scare. Imagine the scenes when we promote Barry Smith to gaffer.

We're in touch with Jim, of course, and both he and the club are positive about the future. But health needs to come first.
TheChase
Have the club given us a definitive date for the release of the new kits? I would hope we'd be afforded the opportunity to see it with the sponsor prior to placing a pre-order.On another note good to see Clyde embracing technology in light of current circumstances, with their Digital Season Ticket/Card. Hopefully we can do something similar...
The Moonster
All players currently furloughed have had their deals extended until the end of July. A wise move IMO. Gives the Duffman a month to get back to health and hopefully means (although doesn't guarantee) that our squad won't move on in the meantime.

I spoke to big Mango about it the other month and he was calling on clubs to furlough players. Normally they could be earning by now, so it was the right thing to do imo. We might only be paying part-time money - but the guys will still have bills to pay and mouths to feed - and an extra however much a week will make a huge difference. Can only be good news for tempting the guys we're looking to keep to stay too.

On kits... news coming as soon as possible. On digital Season Tickets. Noted. It's an idea worth investigating - and the costs involved, of course. Thanks. PS. The first batch of DFC face coverings going like hot cakes (though don't try one of those on yer face. Horribly messy.) More ordered... https://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/news/?mode=view&id=4458

Scullion actually left before the Peterhead game in January, was made official when his contract expired. https://www.dumbartonfootballclub.com/news/?mode=view&id=4281 Good luck to him. I thought he had something. Played very well in the win at Stark's in December and his run that set up Ryan Tierney's goal against Stranraer a week later was outstanding. Just needs a solid season or so where he gets 30+ games under his belt imo.

Surely they don't all have bigger budgets than us I'm finding it hilarious tbh. We used to be sniped at by junior teams for seemingly paying players "similar to junior level" senior level wages, and as soon as any of them have the slightest sniff of League 2 they're firing out good full time wages for folk to play beyond tier 6. Folk claiming "coups" too, can it be described as a coup when you're throwing silly money at players?
Scott Leitch
Duffy really stooped to a new low managing the sons. Sheer lack of options for poor old Jim. Sons should be eradicated from pro leagues for that pathetic excuse of a new 'stadium'. At least Boghead had character about it.
