Don't remember Rugby Park being that bad. Tynecastle and Douglas Park come to mind as two of the worst.

Remember that one well. There with two Killie-supporting pals, so got bragging rights and safe passage out of Rugby Park.

Only ground at which I was ever assaulted was leaving old Bayview after a 2v1 defeat in 1972.  Crowd of around 4,000 there for an ordinary league match!

Can confirm that Broomfield and Brockville were nightmare trips for visiting linesmen (sic) in the 1980's!!

This all looks so familiar from so many of Duffy's transfer windows at Clyde. Obvious gaps in the squad and very little creativity or apparent urgency in trying to fill them.

I'd imagine he'll have a bit more money to play with at Dumbarton (we were very much at our lowest ebb financially) but I'd be worried regardless.

This is pretty much what the Morton fans have been saying.

We have until Saturday to add the 4 or 5 bodies we need but I would be lying if I said I wasn't massively concerned with our current situation. We have already made an arse of our first two fixtures of the year and have a real c**t of a run of games after Montrose. The lack of urgency is weird considering we desperately need an upturn in form and only have 10(?) fit players.

I just feel as if Duffy has had months now to prepare for the January window and it's a bit frustrating he didn't make some early moves for players. He must have known Allardice, Spencer and McGowan weren't part of his plans and he must have known Dowie was planning on chucking it.

Hmmm...the Sonspools supporters bus got a couple of windows tanned as it passed through Buckhaven following that defeat at Methil.

Any good?

Dropped a wee thing on your thread, but I'd say he'll be a good signing for you guys, yes. I'm still disappointed that Duffy didn't seem to rate him - especially when our midfield pairing are really lacking pace.

I think our fans, or certainly Ross Forbes, rated Brad Spencer more the less he played. Was a good squad filler I feel but nothing more.

What I’d give for a klaxon.

Surely we’ve never had such few players in January during the modern era (i.e. not counting the days where only the old boys would remember us having one or no subs)?

In fact, I’d be surprised if any senior team ever (not under admin/liquidation) had so few at this stage. We may have set some kind of record.

He was a centre-mid who could run, score goals and go box-to-box no bother.

He might not have been peak Chris Turner or Scott Agnes Agnew, but we don't have anyone else who can do that.

I was on that bus and it was a chilly journey back home. Actually, it might have been more than one bus that got bricked? Those were the days when we'd run multiple buses to away games. For the following week's game at Rugby Park we had a police escort out of Kilmarnock.

I'm getting more and more concerned about the lack of numbers. How many actual players do we have registered and how many are fit? The laws state you can start a match with 7 players but has a professional team ever started with less than 11? Surely we will have at least 3 trialists playing on Saturday.
