Ira Gaines
Tony Ferguson getting overlooked in an interim title fight is obviously a joke, but it's the UFC, who don't really give a f**k about sporting merit if it helps to sell PPVs, and McGregor/Cerrone will do that. If you're willing to watch UFC, you need to be willing to accept that they don't give a toss about the better fighters getting shots. They only care about getting the biggest stars the biggest fights possible. Even if it means giving repeat drug cheats chance after chance.
JamieStevenson
Oh Whittaker.... Anyway get it right up UFC for trying to put on one of the most pathetic cards ever. No reason whatsoever to watch this now.
Fisherman
What a disaster that is with Whittaker getting injured. Fairly disappointed. At least we still have Silva Adesanya. As for Cowboy McGregor for a belt, there is 0% chance that happens. Dana knows Ferguson is the boy, Khabib Ferguson has to be next!! We've waited years on that fight! Cancelled 3 times ffs, I'd be raging if that's not next.As for Bellator, great that it's finally on sky in future, I'll actually watch it now.Just had 20quid on that Geordie shore tube to get beat. Only seen him spark some random shite guy so think he's probably been overrated. Ryan Scope was a guy I remember thinking was a definite future ufc fighter back in the day! Hadn't even heard of him in years and he pops up in a main event! Also Bungard fighting, surprised hes such a big underdog but havn't seen much of him, hope he can pull off the upset. There's a decent wee video of him on YouTube leading up to this fight.
JamieStevenson
Delighted for Bungard. Big win.
JamieStevenson
Time to watch 2 cans fight. Lets not f**k about here, Browning's win over Baby Slice was nothing. Slice keeled over with exhaustion not even half way into the 2nd round . The Geordie Shore mob were an embarrassment on the tele there.
JamieStevenson
This is hilariously bad I will however defend Chalmers decision to walk away. Leon Roberts clearly stepped in and then suddenly decided nah he's actually alright.
JamieStevenson
That has to be the worst GnP I have EVER seen!
JamieStevenson
The positioning. My word do not let him fight ever again.
J_Stewart
Just watching the UFC card, De La Rosa v Kassem:Silva v Adesanya was really good fun, and the right result. I had it 29-28 giving Silva the second, just. A good passing of the torch fight. Adesanya has a great future ahead of him.
Fisherman
Same here, Silva deserved the 2nd round. DeLa Rosa Kassem should have never been anywhere near a ppv main card! Rest of the fights were decent.
JamieStevenson
Plenty to look forward to next weekend. MVP vs Daley Kongo vs Minakov 2 Cro Cop vs Nelson 2 Velasquez vs Ngannou Vick vs Felder Rivera vs Sterling Fili vs Jury Kron Gracie's UFC debut.

JamieStevenson
Got all hyped for Mitrione vs Kharitonov only for it to end in a NC after a low blow at the very start of the fight .
boulderdomb
Cage Warriors tonight at 9pm on FreeSports - great that there's a LIVE free broadcast of MMA in the UK rather than Bellators attempt of a replay 2 days later. Anyone else watching? From what I understand the card is pretty decent. It's also in Liverpool. https://www.sherdog.com/events/CW-101-Cage-Warriors-101-72721
JamieStevenson
Well that was disappointing. Kongo probably could have battered Minakov if he'd actually went for it at any point. He gets the decision anyway so he's now the #1 contender to Ryan Bader. There's no doubt in my mind that prime Ryan Bader destroys everybody in his path in Bellator at both LHW & HW. Time for Cro Cop!
JamieStevenson
Okay, round 3 was an utter shambles. But for the first couple of rounds I was enjoying the phonebooth fighting. Plenty of knees and uppercuts. I don't mind these special attraction fights, if we can book Cro Cop vs Fedor again that'd be fun.
JamieStevenson
MVP vs Daley every bit as shite as I imagined it would be so far. Edit: ABSOLUTE SNOOZEFEST. DO NOT WATCH. Edited February 17, 2019 by JamieStevenson
JamieStevenson
48-47 MVP. He's got no chance against Douglas Lima .
JamieStevenson
The decline of Renan Barao is quite something.
