BillyAnchor
There was a power cut at his last show. The fans were dancing in the dark.
Highland Capital
I quite enjoyed Western Stars. It starts well, there's a bit of a lull after Sleepy Joe's Cafe and then the final three songs are great (I really like Moonlight Motel). I can't see many of the songs getting into the E Street Band sets, but I don't think they're meant to.
Highland Capital
I see there's a new Springsteen-inspired film out called 'Blinded By The Light'. It doesn't look very good though.
peasy23
I think it's quite good. Not a classic by any means but I doubt we'll see another one of those given his age. Hopefully he's got another E Street Band tour with 3 and a half hour shows in him. There are rumours of a tour next year, but nothing definite as yet.
dundeefc1783
Been listening to a lot of the boss recently. Not sure how it went down when it was released but the wrecking ball album has some cracking tunes on it.

Ira Gaines
Just a wee post to say Jungleland is one of the best songs ever.
Lichtie78
Been listening to Greetings From Asbury Park N.J. recently, some brilliant tunes on that. Also stick on the Tracks album on Spotify from time to time, near enough 100 unreleased songs on it. Hit shuffle and always find something new
ScottR96
Got my hopes up when I saw this thread had been bumped.
Thane of Cawdor
New to the thread, so apologies if it's been mentioned before, but Springsteen and Pete Seeger (and the kids) at Obama's inauguration was a great sight and sound. And now we have the complete opposite of hope!

paul-r-cfc
I caught it on Prime. Enjoyed it. Definitely helps being a big Springsteen fan though, as with any film like this. Apparently it suffered at the box office for being released about the same time as 'Yesterday'.

GrahamJags
Not a massive fan of the new single, but I wasn’t a fan of the Western Stars stuff until the full record came out. Regardless, it’s good to get a new Springsteen & E Street Band record this year.
Highland Capital
I see the new album finally includes the release of the lost classic "If I Was The Priest" that was one of the songs that got him signed in 1972. Apparently it's a new re-recording but here's the original -
CountyFan
That single is a proper grower, loving it. And 'Springsteen by numbers' is still better than literally all other music, ever. IMO of course. Cracking rolling stone article about the new album here: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/bruce-springsteen-interview-new-album-touring-e-street-band-1059109/
Highland Capital
I also really like this. I think this is better than the song put out the other week.
