The Other Foot
Watching this shit for the first time today. What a load of puerile *****. Who the f**k is the old man with the ponytail and why is he considered talented enough to host a television show? Former Fulham midfielder, tipped for an England call up but got injured. It really isn't great but my ten year old loves it so that shows the level it's on.

D.A.F.C
I still watch it eating breakfast as its slightly more tolerable than the poncy bbc foodie program. The interviews are decent they should drop the daft stuff.
Genuine Hibs Fan
Seems more and more a wee kids' program every time I see a clip of it. Makes sense considering I was about 14 the last time it seemed to be any good. Must do ok if it's still on but I'd be surprised if many folk are anything other than passive, on-in-the-background watchers
Flybhoy
The day it decided to pander to the faux offended PC brigade and ditch the 'Socerette' feature was the day it died a death for me, on the odd occasion ive tuned in for a curious watch it's been utter garbage. -

Ray Patterson
Watching Soccer AM now is like watching my childhood be defecated on. The day it finally died was the day they got rid of Helen Chamberlain. Edited February 19, 2020 by ArabAuslander
Derry Alli
Watching this and John Hartson is on it. He looks absolutely fucked. He can barely move. Edited January 28, 2023 by Derry Alli
supermik
What appeared to be a natural staple of football fans. It had a bump of 2 years!
Derry Alli
I quite like these two twins ( ) but by christ they have far too much energy for a Saturday morning. I thought Bullard was nippy!
The Naitch
It's finally being put to rest after 28 years on air. Probably outstayed its welcome for the last 10 years.
Derry Alli
Just seen that there. A sad day. Its shite in the main now but the concept could still work if they weren't trying to shoehorn people like Bullard in. Get Adam Rowe and Dan Nightingale presenting it.
Bert Raccoon
It was unmissable at its peak but a product of its time and well past its sell by date. Can't even remember last time I've watched it tbh
TheScarf
I know it's a lazy and standard comment, but it really was the end of it as entertainment when Tim Lovejoy left. 2007 was it? That's a long 16 years of the male presenter trying to be like him.

I stopped watching it before he left, but on the occasions I saw it after that it just all seemed like it had had its day and was begging to be put out its misery.
DrewDon
I haven’t watched the actual show in many years now, but the fans’ volleys sometimes pop up on my YouTube suggestions. I will kind of miss watching them and laughing at how comically shite they are.
8MileBU
I have had a strong hatred for Serj Pizorno ever since his volley in winkle pickers on this show. Great skill but the way he just walked off after with that false swagger and ditched his jacket in the car park was utter cringe. p***k. His band are bang average too.

If I'm remembering correctly Fenners left the show a year or two before that as well, and I thought there was a bit of a drop off in quality then but it was sustainable while Lovejoy was still on it. It's remarkable they managed to limp on for as long as they did. Helen Chamberlain leaving should have really been the time to bin it completely.
