Yes, Noel's solo work is possibly superior (on a technical level it certainly is though taste is a different gauge altogether) but I would suggest that what was lacking from Noel's work was Liam's snarling vocals. It's very easy for people to slag off Liam because he constantly puts himself in the firing line but it's an obvious cheap shot. There would have been no Oasis without Liam. The fact that it's in the public domain (and spun somewhat) is down to McCoist's agent, especially with the added info regarding him actively seeking employment in England!
