Absolutely.

Perhaps I should've been more specific and said Celtic and their support are mewling sad sacks who aren't half as clever or funny as they think they are.

Better?

^^^^^ Didn’t know.

I feel a bit sorry for Ramsey. Imo it was Gio van Bronckhorst wanting to be seen as a master tactician by subbing on players in the last minute to take penalties.  Numpty lol

It's such a "look at me" tactic. It's hilariously failed twice in the last year, with Southgate and Gio falling victim.

Jeez, The Cinch Fan Club really have gone to war or issued bans with a growing number of entities, in chronological order:

  • Face painters
  • 41 other SPFL clubs
  • The SFA
  • Wee Nicola
  • The BBC
  • Cinch
  • BT Sport
  • Chris Sutton
  • Spanish Cops
  • Spanish Water
  • Ryanair

FWIW Dundee signing World cup winner Caniggia is the biggest wow signing in Scottish football. IMO

One of the great myths.

Cannigia signing for Dundee was indeed remarkable.  However, he's not won a World Cup.  He was suspended for a final which Argentina lost anyway.

What’s wrong with hating the head of state exactly?

She’s not exactly a protected minority, although she does like to protect some questionable characters.

Nah, you’re either telling lies or wilfully ignorant.

Next you’ll be blaming the schools

You're obviously right here.

Substitute 'Roman Catholics' with any other minority and such scenes would rightly be regarded as absolutely outrageous.

Weirdly, though, there seems to be a tolerance in Scotland for intolerance of this nature.  Hoose Rice's attempts to draw an equivalence that doesn't exist are ludicrous and shoddy.

Personally, however, I don't think segregated schools help.  They're an unnecessary anachronism these days, that accentuate scarcely relevant difference.

I hear this a lot when it comes to catholic schools

First to bust a few myths.

They’re not only for Catholics, they’re open to all and you’re not forced to participate in anything religious

My class had a mix of Catholics, Muslims and Sikhs.

They do teach tolerance and respect towards people of other faiths, You’d be encouraged to show respect to all

I don’t believe they’re unnecessary, simply because in this country we have annual anti catholic marches.

If you want to discuss closing down catholic schools you’d need to first stop the hate marches

I went to both catholic and a non dom schools, take a guess what schools I got abused in for my religion

It wasn’t something I experienced before I moved schools, but as soon as they hear what school you attend or your surname, it can make you a target for abuse.

It wasn’t nice, and it’s totally tolerated in this country.

so yeah one of the reasons catholic send the kids to catholic schools is so they don’t need to suffer the abuse they suffered.

No child deserves that.

Catholic schools are highly regarded in England - waiting lists etc - and funnily enough, no serious sectarian issues there. Why is that, if it's teh schools that are the problem, surely England would have the same issues as Scotland?

The problem isn't the schools / segregation, it's intolerance of others / ignorance and a "great wee country" scared to actually tackle the problem.

I went to a Catholic school also and although you had to do some prayers and hymns and that it was pretty mixed apart from Protestants.  Any **** in the school got absolutely tortured as a dirty smelly orange *** bassa and it was tolerated as it wasn't racist to do so like it would be if it was someone of another religion in the school.   Being a Hibee I was alright apart from being patronised  but there was definitely religious hate towards rangers and their fans, not so much jambos but there was some abuse of them from time to time also.
