Great recommendation, really enjoyed it. Not often i find a book laugh out loud funny, and even less often are those actually quality novels. It almost certainly was me, I love that book. I'd highly recommend everything else Backman has written. He is an outstanding author.

Craig fae the Vale
Went to see Andrew O'Hagan talk about his new book Caledonian Road at Waterstones on Sauchihall Street tonight. What a fascinating man. Could genuinely have listened to him tell stories for hours. Can't wait to read the book now.

Craig fae the Vale Posted Wednesday at 11:20 Share Posted Wednesday at 11:20 Bunny by Mona Awad Maybe the weirdest book I've ever read but I'm pretty sure it worked. Didn't have a clue what was happening or where it was going and it constantly surprised. Very strange, ultimately enjoyable.
Craig fae the Vale Posted Wednesday at 17:32 Share Posted Wednesday at 17:32 Punk Paradox by Greg Graffin A really interesting look at Bad Religion and the greater LA punk scene in general. The punk professor is a pretty fascinating man, it's incredible how he wove his academic career seamlessly with his musical one.

Probably 2 a week, depends how long they are. I have a fairly sizable commute and do a lot of audiobooks.

saint dave Posted Wednesday at 20:18 Share Posted Wednesday at 20:18 Stalin : Court Of The Red Tsar by Simon Sebag Montefiore A lot about the intrigue and paranoia of Stalin and his colleagues. The purges , forced famine and the imagined treasons , wholesale deportations , whole families just basically swept away when anyone got too popular or on the wrong side of Stalin. He held the power of life and death over anyone or any group in the Soviet union and wasn't afraid to use it.
