Bump…

Tremendous promo for No Mercy tonight.

That's a fantastic promo. The card looks good as well. I don't think I've watched an NXT event since the end of the black and gold era, so I might give this a watch tomorrow.

Another pretty decent NXT show.  Seems like they've hit on the best way to deal with developmental in having most of the personnel being your sink-or-swim prospects, and a smattering of the more experienced in there to lift them.  Crazy how few matches some of these people have actually had given the history of NXT with their indie darlings.

Great to see Dragunov finally getting the big push.  He's in that small group of wrestlers that's so thrilling to watch because everything he does has that extra little bit of danger to it.  You see it with Lesnar, used to with Rousey, and now with the Creed Brothers.  All tremendously physically talented, but their style is a bit fresher and you're never quite sure how far you are away from someone potentially getting really hurt.  Dragunov is slightly different to be fair, in that it never seems like anyone else is going to get really hurt, and he'll take it all himself.  Absolutely mad wee b*****d, and hopefully this is a run that leads to him going up.  He deserves it.

The main event was a little awkward in parts, but I thought they both did really well.  Stratton more than held up her end of the bargain, and a lot of the botches (harsh to call them that to be fair) seemed to be on Lynch's side when she forgot that hard hats and barbed wire bats obey physics, and then decided to launch things into the crowd.  Granted it isn't a high bar, but in terms of women's wrestling, that was as good as you'd see an AEW women's match be, and probably approaching what you'd expect a main roster WWE match to be.

Can you watch all the stuff on TNT Sports on catch-up or do you need to watch live if you want to catch NXT tonight?

Catch up.

Charlie Dempsey challenging for AJPW's Triple Crown tilte on the 3rd of next month. Will face either current champion Katsuhiko Nakajima or challenger Kento Miyahara who face off on the 31st. Both are up there in the best in the world conversation.

Hopefully he'll do well in the technically skilled Gaijin role. It's certainly not going to hurt his development.
