Secondly, we put out an update that Miller Fenton scored at 21:05 and put out the update to say he’d been subbed on at 21:07. Then just didn’t bother describing the goal (they described all the others). Things like that should be reliable/consistent. We used to have unique goal graphics for each player - we did in 2017-18, not sure when/why that changed. We’ve gone backwards to a generic goal gif, plus a name in all caps (usually) with 10-15 exclamation marks. I say ‘usually’ because for McCann’s tonight, they turned caps lock off too early and the tweet was “LEWIS MCCann!!!!!!!!!!!!” It’s fairly minor, but social media should be valued by the club, as a very useful tool for communicating with fans. Our output is very amateur. Sometimes the order of the tweets comes out in the wrong order if there is a poor signal from where they are sat tweeting, it's not normally noticeable if things don't happen one after another.
DAFC.
Were the two trialists youth players again?Heard we have offered James Maxwell a contract. Would make no sense really unless Edwards or MacDonald are away.

Stellaboz
Someone mentioned a James Rooney from Burnley, but I've no idea at all how accurate that is.

That would be a real coup but can't see it happening.
par-adise
Refreshing after last season to read the manager's post-match comments that appear to show some humility. Although relegation is a complete disaster, as the season draws closer the more I'm actually glad we're not going into a new championship campaign with Hughes knowing full well he'd be gone by Christmas. McPake wasn't an appointment to get you off your feet but at least we can go in with a bit of hope and optimism. Plus seeing the name Andy Tod again on a Dunfermline team sheet can only bring a warm, glowing feeling. Please don't be mince.
Shandon Par
What a relief after the last managers to hear McPake make things sound simple. Knows what he has to work with and clearly looking at ways to get the best out of them.
DAFC.
I don’t care if that’s against part-timers in pre season, it’s refreshing to see players passing and moving for each other, as well as strikers having a pop at goal. Night and day compared to the inept pish from last season.
Shandon Par
It would save money on shirt printing if we simply made all the players change their surnames to Tod. It would 100% make them play better too.
par-adise
Also if (big if I think) we can get some sort of 4-3-3 working with the four forward options we have I think we'll win the league at a canter.

I believe he's gone to Airdrie so we can watch him dive after the ball is in the back of the net again.

Not like it's going to put anyone off the club or have any detrimental impact. Fair point. Not sure why I was being a moany git last night. Club’s general fan engagement/interaction has improved a lot over the last wee while. Also noticed we put wee clips up on our Instagram story, which was a nice touch. On the goals, there was some good play and we seemed to be getting players into the box, which is a nice change! Keeper looked horrendous, but we were up against questionable keepers a number of times last season and still didn’t look like scoring many. As I say, attacking players gaining confidence from scoring and defenders and keeper gaining confidence by keeping clean sheets can only be a positive thing. Particularly given how low confidence must have been amongst those that were here last season.

Would've kept him as an impact sub in the championship, he would do a job in L1 as well. True, but I reckon almost every Championship club would take him if available, instantly giving them an advantage over us. 2 hours ago, DAFC. said: I don’t care if that’s against part-timers in pre season, it’s refreshing to see players passing and moving for each other, as well as strikers having a pop at goal. Such things are not possible. 1 hour ago, par-adise said: Also if (big if I think) we can get some sort of 4-3-3 working with the four forward options we have I think we'll win the league at a canter. Easy now. Let's wait and see what happens in actual games. Falkirk and Kelty will be strong this year (although Kelty have Potter so perhaps not so strong) and Airdrie, Montrose and Queen of the South will be decent too. Absolutely no chance anyone is winning the league 'at a canter' I think.
