Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Recommended Posts

PG interview on official site.

Vytas only just back, after a prolonged break - he was involved in internationals early in the month.

Wighton has a slight knock, nothing to worry about.

Watson should be back training in a couple of weeks - suspect he won’t be back for start of league cup campaign.

Wilson has tendinitis in his Achilles and is ‘a couple of weeks away yet’

Dow is apparently the same as Wilson now. Which is great news.

Best news of the lot though, is that they think they’ve got to the bottom of Lewis Martin’s issue and he’s on the road to recovery.

Good to hear Dow is only weeks away rather than months. Will be interesting to see how quickly he gets back up to speed. I know he’s only 30 but that’s a long lay-off for a winger.

I think Pars have “got to the bottom” of Lewis Martin’s issues about five times now, so not holding my breath but good luck to the lad.

Worth noting that the physio/sport scientist were let go and it’s new people having a look/working with specialists they trust. Think we’ve changed physio 3/4 times since Crawford came in, which won’t have helped people like Lewis Martin with longer term/recurring issues.

Is Wilson like one of those old Spectrums? When it works, it's brilliant and worth the effort but most of the time the code is wrong, or it stops working constantly.

Aye, he's currently Read Error B on my old Amstrad 464.

I see we've loaned Fraser Currid to Bo'ness. Have we ever loaned a player to another club without announcing that we've signed them?

Bo’ness athletic for clarity.

Don’t get why we’d bother tbh,  that’s a very low level for a player to be playing at 20 if you have any expectations they’ll make it as a full time pro.

Fairly weak team today, with even more players missing and only 1 trialist. Be interesting to see what system they play. Matty Todd was an unused sub midweek and can’t get a game when we only have 13 players. Grant obviously doesn’t rate him, which I can’t say surprises me.

No idea. Suspect he’ll be a midfielder and we’ll set up 4-3-3, but I can’t seem to find a name anywhere.

First name was Dan.

He didn’t too too much.

We are rather short of players just now, but we must make sure we bring in quality.  Fully fit I think we can make a decent starting 11 but we have absolutely nothing else.

3 Center mids

1 Center back

2 wingers

All need to be coming in and good enough to fight for a place every week.  No jersey fillers.

We are well short. When you are in pre season and only have 2 on your bench and 1 trialist overall there is something no right.

PG must be pretty confident that he is going to get the right players in over the next few weeks.

When you read things like Ben Williamson, Fraser Murray and Ian Viguirs all been approached and all went elsewhere. Just have to wait and see what happens I guess
