This game was always going to be in an empty stadium and on the BBC.
Anyone who ever thought otherwise is a bit of an idiot.

Anyone who wasn't hoping for fans back at the start of the season is an idiot. It's just a huge loss for the club is all I'm pointing out. Fucking Bhutan loving p***k.

Who wasn't hoping for fans back at the start of the season?

But anyone with even the smallest modicum of sense knew it absolutely wasn't happening. Be surprised if we see crowds back at East End at all this season.

You take that last line back!

That was proper Pars porn last night. Live tv, half time chat with big Leishman being charming and nice to everyone, Craw properly on the verge of tears in the half time feature talking about how much he loves Dunfermline, and of course the performance and result, and we are top of the league. And we’ve not lost a game for about 9 months.

I know, imagine hoping for a better situation. f**k it, we're playing great with no crowd let's keep it like that.

Never!

Who isn't hoping for a better situation? Who has said or hinted anything to that effect?

You'll take it back or I'll say something unpleasant in retaliation.

I really don't see your issue with what I originally said.

And you can stick it up your Bhutan butt.

The result over hearts now means Crawford has won (26) more games than he's lost (25) in what has been a mixed managerial spell. Delighted for him hope he can keep this going as I suspect the only way we keep a hold of Murray and potentially others is by going up.

He certainly doesn’t do draws. That is actually a good thing. If we’re willing to take risks and try and win games instead of accepting draws constantly, that’s a recipe for success, even if it means the odd defeat. I’d much rather see us play the way we are than this sitting on our hands shite we have became accustom to, narrowly drawing with utter guff like Queen of the South and Alloa

I would agree although he's not often come from behind to win, obviously the Clyde game I think AJ probably would have got us to a draw and dealt with the penalty shoot out but to be fair to Crawford he wasn't 100% sure about putting McCann on in that game which shows you how different his backroom squad are, I think the balance of Whittaker, Shields and Dair who have all had different careers and experience in football has really helped him especially this season. A long way to go but if Crawford and Meggle have a good relationship then I would hope that would really complete the picture

Do to see we are back making a very modest profit, it will be tricky to do that again this year

Mmm, as I've said before, you sold a player for a reputed £250k in the subsequent year so you're off to a decent head start. If you had the business back to roughly breakeven before that then you probably should be able to trade to profit in the next year. Obviously you are down gate receipts less streaming receipts but your costs will be reduced too most likely and furlough was in operation for at least part of the year. You may have staff still on it now. Unless they've thrown stupid money about on the squad in a pandemic then I think Dunfermline will return a profit next year.

Fingers crossed. I believe it was north of 250 but obviously no one knows how that will be paid in what installments etc.

That'd be nice.

Does anything strike you as interesting about the accounts SD? Or are they pretty standard?

There are some interesting things in there (to an accountant anyway) but nothing dramatic per se.

It's a profit reported of £23,000 but the Chairman himself says that's after a donation of £40,000 from Save the Pars (not sure how much of that is regular donation and how much if any is a special Covid donation). It also says that returning loan players early saved cash as well as Fife Elite Football Academy closing for a period. There's an acknowledgement for various other donations and of course there would have been Covid grants and furlough support. There's also been a 6 month rent holiday apparently and it's a year you had an away cup tie at Celtic Park. There are plenty of indications that you'd be reporting a 6 figure loss still in 'normal' circumstances.

The club has deferred £345k of liabilities to 2022. There's an acknowledgement of post year end investment from Germany. It doesn't actually say how much that was but other documents at Companies House say it was £600,000. Also the Nisbet transfer although not specified by value, is acknowledged as a major benefit in two places.

The club is about £200k worse off in cash terms than it was 12 months earlier, including now having a £50k bank loan which is probably just a Govt Covid loan but it's interesting they saw the need to apply for it with the German money and Nisbet sale around the corner. I guess it was prudent at the time though. There's a major reduction in "Other Creditors" of about £280,000 but no information to suggest what those were. Soft loans from non directors perhaps?

The most interesting and relevant part in there other than possibly Ross' statement is note 1.2 on Going Concern. Nothing surprising in there but confirmation of a few things and it appears likely you are significantly cash rich at the moment at least.
