Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Recommended Posts

Just think that you might as well invest in a chocolate teapot as the financial running of the club is so bad even after ten years of madness.

500K is needed but why is it needed?

Because they've fecked it up yet again. Why will it be different next season when they budget for crowds of 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000?

I'm not investing though, I don't expect to get any money back at all from buying shares, who says we'll be around next season? Our financial statement is in such a predicament that it's a genuine possibility.

I've made my thoughts and feelings on Masterton well known, similarly Hearts fans aren't exactly massive fans of Romanov but it didn't stop them chipping in to try and help save there club did it?....

So it's buy shares or the P&B student-backed alternative "do fcuk all"......

Admittedly it's a bit like which bollock would you prefer to have burned off but for me there is really only one option.

That's true - and we paid the price for that. A horrible, horrible and at tines French price.

I was being flippant when I posted my comment. Although I was gutted at the time! Also just because others have 'cheated', it doesn't make it right that we have done so as well.

The right one?

Anyway, the club to me seems fucked. Say we raise the £500k. Then what? We're still running at a considerable loss and debts will just mount and mount.

Like it or not our club is in severe danger and need cash, if they don't get cash they'll die, surely even the thickest of Cowdenbeath fans can realise that?

Donating money to a club that needs money isn't that crazy, standing by and doing nothing about it and letting 125 years worth of history go down the shitter? that sounds more crazy to me, chances are if this shares thing comes to fruition I'll buy shares, I don't expect to make money from it and I'm certainly not doing it because I like Masterton and what he's done to the club, but I want a club to support, and holding money back isn't going to achieve that aim is it?

It is misguided fans like you who encourage the men responsible for the Pars predicament.

Do society a favour and give your dosh to CHAS.

I'll say it again, anyone who buys shares is an utter lunatic.

It's a last gasp attempt by Masterton to line his pockets before the whole deck of cards comes tumbling down IMO.

500K to get a fifth of a say in a club with millions of debt?

Why do you think the other directors walked out?

Well if that's the case then a line in the sand has been drawn. Those who disagree are free to set up a similar fundraising effort & stash any cash raised to set up a Newco if/when the need arises.

At least people know where they stand now.
