Walking Down The Halbeath Road

Recommended Posts

More the fact we have had this guy, and should have been challenging at the top of the league (that's his calibre, anyway), and we've actually ended up relegated and losing him to Queen's Park (who can probably afford higher wages now) It is a complete minter.
Every good player should be trying to improve themselves so moves to bigger clubs are inevitable, not minters. You're where you should be and so is he. Seems equitable, no?

Sideways move. Swapped one big city club for another.

If by sideways you mean you went down and he didn't, then yes, agreed.

I thought that was an end of season friendly but turns out you’re right. Quite an unfortunate end to our season.

Jims Leishman, Calderwood, McIntyre, Nicholl all good mangers. Apart from the double relegation I like Jefferies too. That’s at least an 80% success rate with a James in charge. One-off names such as Jocky, Iain or Peter tend to be disastrous.

Club will feel a bit silly when they realise they forgot to add Chalmers to the "Players Released" list.

Squad left:

Keepers: Mehmet, Alexander(?)

Defenders: Breen, Comrie, Edwards, Fenton, MacDonald, Todd

Midfielders: Allan, Chalmers, Dorrans

Forwards: McCann, O'Hara, Todorov, Wighton

Martin probably end up at Airdrie. A change should do him good. Ryan Dow, pre-injury, was a top player. Just don’t think last seasons managers took account of how badly he’s been crocked and expected him to play like a 20 y/o winger. Sure he can be an effective player still for someone in the right role.

No you wouldn’t.

Honestly think if you kept Wighton (wasn’t great at us tbf but an option) and didn’t sign Efe fuvkin Ambrose and Joe Chalmers you’d have stayed up

Good players in that squad you had just terribly managed

List should have been bigger, but the rest are under contract so will understandably be difficult to move on.

Need a fresh statement from the board.

“We note with interest and sadness that Messrs Dorrans, Chalmers et al performed to a standard unbecoming of such a prestigious club last season. The new manager thinks they are gash too. We will update you on this matter in due course.”
