Walking Down The Halbeath Road

So when do we reckon the board will release a statement backing Hughes and saying he'll remain on and telling off the fans for naughty chants aimed the manager, as well as blaming the fans for things in general?

Wednesday I reckon. Can ram their shite team up their arse. Won’t be back until there is massive changes.

Over the next week I want to see:

  • confirmation that Hughes will not be in charge next season
  • confirmation that there will be a *significant* overhaul of our first-team squad
  • a statement from the club apologising for their failure this season
  • a clear plan for how we are going to turn things around in the short and long term

Also key; don't try any patronising shite about "taking this club back to where we deserve to be" - next season we will be a League 1 club and we deserve to be a League 1 club. If we get this wrong then, as shown by Falkirk, we could be down for a number of seasons.

Roaring back is quite catchy.

As long as it's not "Choose Hughes" then people will give it a chance. His minimum requirement was to avoid relegation and he failed.

They need to urgently recognise how precarious the current situation is and commit to running the Pars like we're a professional football club. The new training ground and youth academy has real upside but you can't just let things fall apart with the first team and treat the fans like an unwelcome nuisance.

Be something cringey like ‘Time to get back on Par’ - then, following poor early bird sales, they’ll release a statement criticising fans for not buying tickets when we still have Hughes, Shields and Whittaker in charge and are charging the same price as we did for championship season tickets.

On a lighter note, after a summer of Yogi’s recruitment, we could be spoiled for choice in terms of what jobber the P&B Pars sponsor next year @101

It really is incredible that they managed to attract around 2.5k fewer home fans than they had at the QoS game. It must be around a 45% drop in home attendance from one week to the next, despite it being a crucial game. If the board can’t see that and realise that the management team have to go, I really worry about where they’re going to take us.

45% fewer home fans at a playoff game, than turned up on a Friday night the week before. Let that sink in. The club are having a nightmare just now and it’s clearly not just the performances on the park that are the issue.

Parts of this are as if he's just overseen a team narrowly missing out on promotion after a solid season rather than a shambolic relegation.
"When we're good no one'll get near us, so it's consistency of performance to hit the heights week in week out."
No John, I don't think many Dunfermline fans will agree with that.

Both Hughes and this board are well suited to each other just now. They’re so fucking out of touch it’s getting painful.

It could not be more obvious to literally any fucker on the planet that Hughes and the board have failed immensely in their roles. Yet, there is no accountability shown by any of them, not a glint of it. Delusional shite continues to be churned out by both of them and neither party will ever take responsibility or acknowledge the monumental c**t they have made of things.

They’re both absolutely ruining this football club. A similar comment was made above but if they so much as utter the words “back to where we belong” over the next few days/weeks then I think I’ll have a full on meltdown.

f**k John Hughes. f**k Peter Grant and f**k all the people at the club who thought it was ever a good idea to appoint these utter clowns.

Nah, we were 7th in League One and still couldn't give a flying f**k about the Challenge Cup.

Would stick that goofball on ignore. A perma-raging delinquent who seems to froth at the mouth whenever Dunfermline are discussed.

That was our catch phrase under Flynn when we got relegated from the SPL. Turned out it was less Roaring and more  simpering, as it took well over a decade.

I've actually still got the Roaring Back scarf, got it free with my ST, came in handy eventually when i wore it for our promotion play off final against Partick Thistle.
